Anaximander 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2016 Hello, first time poster here! I'm primarily a resto shaman but have been going back and forth between elemental and enhancement for doing dailies and solo content. I'm trying ele again and I'm wondering what recommendations other players have in regards to staying alive, avoiding damage, self healing, CCing, and so forth when adventuring alone as an elemental shaman? Which totems do you use most, etc. On enh it was much easier with all the instant cast healing surges, but I really prefer the caster play style. Thanks! Healing is a bit annoying as Elemental, but you're ranged, so you're taking less damage than Enhancement. Some stuff in here is a bit outdated: https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/shaman-leveling-guidebut it still gives a pretty good picture of what to do as Elemental. Remember that you can kite enemies using Earthbind Totem and/or Capacitor Totem while you run away with Ghost Wolf to create distance and that you can reset the cooldowns of these totems with Call of the Elements. You also have a knockback with Thunderstorm, which can be useful. If things are too much, you can outrun any enemy with Ghost Wolf + Glyph of Ghost Wolf.
