dvick28 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2016 Kinda new but I'm not the best at deck building yet so what are your guy's ideas on decks and classes
Damien 1,514 Report post Posted May 21, 2016 That's a very broad topic :p I think it's best to start with one of the cheap decks we have and take it from there :)
positiv2 953 Report post Posted May 21, 2016 This is a very broad question, and I think it would be good if you stated which mode you mean - standard or wild?
NonsenseKing 5 Report post Posted May 21, 2016 Along with what class or deck type you'd be interested in playing.
Damien 1,514 Report post Posted May 21, 2016 I always found that Mage is the easiest class to play. On Icy Veins, it's the most popular class, far ahead of all the others.
Valks 2,375 Report post Posted May 23, 2016 Agreeing with Damien here, I think the use of the Mage Hero power, as well as the use of many board clears, means that the class can be quite forgiving. Flamestrike can really turn a game around, especially at lower ranks where people are happier to flood the board and not think about what the opponent might play. Our basic deck (https://www.icy-veins.com/hearthstone/basic-mage-deck) is a good starting point or you can try our basic C'thun Mage deck (https://www.icy-veins.com/hearthstone/cheap-mage-standard-deck) if you own TOG expansion. I definitely think Standard is easier to start playing than Wild, if you're new to the game.
PaasHaaS 81 Report post Posted May 23, 2016 Mage is indeed a very good pick thanks to how powerful a lot of their basic class cards are. Cards like Fireball, Frostbolt, Arcane Intellect, Polymorph, Water Elemental, Flamestrike are all very strong cards that you get just by leveling up. Add some cheap common cards to craft ala Mana Wyrm, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Spellslinger and all that's left to do is fill the curve with cards you have already. Ithilrandir 23 Report post Posted May 28, 2016 Mage is good and all, but you'll need to consider what to use after you have enough cards. Shaman and warlock seems a viable budget option
