The Dark Swarm is looking for truly laid-back adults (18 and up) that want to have fun and be a part of a friendly, relaxed guild- perfect for people with the duties of full time jobs, families, and floating play time schedules due to the unpredictable availability life can cause.
We are always looking to meet new friends! We have an amazing group of people, and chat can be active in game and Discord (text), but we occasionally have lulls. Please be patient with us while we revitalize our roster!
Some things The Dark Swarm is:
► A guild who has been around since BC.
► A place for fun, mature people. You must be 18+ to join. Sense of humor strongly recommended ☺
► A guild interested in enjoying the game in our own ways. Some of us like to PvP, others like to run heroics, mythic+, and raids. Some like to level characters and professions, some love to collect things and camp rares. We welcome all styles of gameplay.
Some things The Dark Swarm is not:
► A raiding guild. If you are looking to raid on a team regularly, we are not for you. We have no interest in organizing progression raids for current content any longer. Any raiding outside of older content is done through PuGs/ LFG.
► A leveling guild. We accept characters of all levels, but we are looking for people who want to make us their permanent home, not leave once capped and geared.
► A hardcore PvP guild. Some of us do Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds, but if you want a guild who is strictly PvP oriented, we will not be a fit for your interests.
The Dark Swarm is interested in:
► Creating a tight- knit family of players who like to have a good time. Not a social butterfly? That's ok! If you are more comfortable with shutting off chat and just having a safe place for your characters, that is perfectly fine- we will be here for you if you want to interact or have questions.
► Guild events. We have had events in the past, and would be open to it again.
► Achievements. We enjoy getting groups together for achievements including metas for mounts, and guild achievements.
► Past content; we like to go back into some older content for fun from time to time as well. Examples are guild OS3D to get people Drakes, or BC raids for Transmog gear.
► Fun; most importantly, continue to be a relaxed environment to hang out in and meet fun people. Play when you want, the way you want.

▪ We are listed in the Guild Finder for easy invites!
▪ We use Discord for voice/text. We are NOT active in our voice chats. Voice is generally only used when needed for groups or events, but are always available for members to use.

📅Raiding Schedule:
We run raids regularly on Sundays and Wednesdays at 7 PM GMT. During Mythic progression at the start of a patch, we’ll be hitting the dungeons three nights a week for one month.

Story:
"Gambit" was founded in April 2021 under the name "Journey". It was started by a group of old friends wanting to reconnect and create an enjoyable raiding team, where competitive players could work together in building a Cutting Edge team, free of toxicity and on a relaxed 2 day schedule. Everyone in the founding group had proven themselves in Cutting Edge raiding before and wanted to do so again with this team!
In early 2022 we went through a transition in the leadership as we wanted to expand our focus towards building a community and not just running a raid team. The raiding goal remains the same, to accomplish Cutting Edge! But we also want a community where friends can play together, both in- and outside raids, and whether or not they are part of the raid team. A place where we can also play other games when content might be getting a bit old or we just wanna dabble in something else. We therefore opened the guild to socials, who want to be part of a small tight knit community of friends with which they can explore this game as well as others, without having to be part of the raid team and committing to a set schedule. With this expanded focus we decided to also rebrand the guild and involved all our members in deciding a new name which led us to become "Gambit" in late January 2022.
Having fun with friends is key to our community, and despite our high-end raiding goals, we have zero tolerance towards toxic behavior and misplaced egos. We all play the game for enjoyment and to achieve our goals together. We don’t obsess over meta and bench people for being the wrong class, but remain realistic about what is required to beat certain fights and will work with our team to adapt to the content that is thrown our way. That being said, performance obviously matters when pushing for Cutting Edge, and raiders are expected to always strive towards improving and being the best they can be, but we work hard on keeping the atmosphere positive, as having fun while raiding is the key to the longevity of the raid team.
To reach our goals in raiding we are always working to maintain a roster of like-minded players that know how to have fun, but also know how to dig in and grind when needed. People that know their class and play it to a high standard!

Raid schedule (server time):
Monday 20:00 - 23:00
Thursday 20:00 - 23:00
Optional non-mythic raid on Sundays same time for as long as HC farm is considered relevant at the beginning of a tier. (Not mandatory)
We will have a break roughly halfway through the night.
Loot system
We use loot council to ensure that upgrades are placed where they benefit the teams progression the most. Raiders always come before trials in loot distribution.
What we are looking for in the raid team:
Dedicated raiders that don't give up when it gets a little hard!

[H][Draenor][Healer problem] was founded at the end of BFA and reinforced recently with a a group of old friends experienced in mythic raiding. We are bound by ambition to build a strong core of focused players for mythic progression while valuing players over the progress itself. We offer a mature, fun and caring, yet focused environment, with respect to real life responsibilities.

Requirements for raiding
- Good performance & positive attitude
- Know your class and spec, or be ready to receive constructive criticism, to learn and to improve quickly
- Working discord voice communication (mic is not mandatory, but you are required to hear and respond)
- Be organized & prepared - research boss fights, have consumables to last through the raid, be up-to-date on power progression and gearing opportunities outside of raids
Other activities:
On Sundays we have social raids at 20.00-23.00ST
We have a good number of highly ranked and active mythic-plus players, who will be glad to see more joining them in their adventure.
In-Game Community
