Here's a chance to make some easy gold in Legion by picking up some Lil' Leftovers now!

Introduction

I did briefly touch on Lil' Leftovers in my article Preparing For Legion but I thought it deserved its own highlight.  The pet itself isn't actually that special (as a battle pet) as its move set seems to be quite situational and it doesn't have many damaging attacks.  However, like any battle pet it is desirable to own just for collection purposes.  It will become much harder to obtain in Legion so find out below how and why I recommend grabbing a few bargains to flip next expansion!

How is it created?

Lil' Leftovers is obtained through creating Leftovers.  These leftovers have a very small chance to "proc" / "drop" when creating food 100+ stat food from Warlords of Draenor, for example:

• Feast of the Waters
• Jumbo Sea Dog
• Sleeper Sushi
• Salty Squid Roll

It is reported to be around a 1 in 2000 chance of being produced during cooking an item, although the data is very sketchy at best.  Nearly everyone would agree that it is pretty rare to create and you will more than likely go through a LOT of materials if you are hoping to create your own.

Why should I buy it?

Having created a large proportion of our guilds raid food this expansion I have been fairly lucky to have a few of these drop for myself.  However as guilds are winding down their raids and preparing for Legion instead, less and less food is needed and less and less players are fishing for materials.

It is a fair assumption that as soon as Legion launches players will be wanting to get stuck into new content rather than remaining in Draenor fishing for old materials.  If you try and search your auction house now for Mist of Pandaria fish it is a very good chance that there will be very few on there, if any at all.

With this in mind, players would be required to obtain 100s if not 1000s of Draenor fish in order to obtain enough flesh required to have a good chance at a Leftovers.

I don't think this will be worth a players time or gold to try and produce themselves, and although it won't become unobtainable, it will essentially be so.

How much should I pay?

At time of writing the average prices for US and EU servers are as follows:

I have been telling viewers of my stream to pick up this pet for anything less than 3000g.  This is regardless of the region you are in or the level of the pet.  Obviously I don't want you to spend all of your gold, however if you have a little spare then try and buy as many as you can!

When should I sell them and at what price?

This is entirely up to yourselves.  Personally I recommend players to hold on to them until well into Legion and beyond, as the longer time goes on the rarer they will become.  It is feasible to completely clean out the auction house and try and monopolize the market right now, which could result in some quick flips and easy profit, however I have been advising against this.  If you repost and bump up the price now, you are limiting your chances to obtain any more cheap pets before the end of the expansion.

Ultimately it will depend on your own server populations and the number of Lil' Leftovers on your auction house! 

In terms of price, I am hoping to sell these for 10-20k at level 1 and 15-25k at level 25 when we get into Legion.  I think this will be achievable for a large proportion of servers but again will be determined on your own populations and how quickly you want a return.

I hope some of you give this a try!  It is entirely up to yourselves if you wish to spend more than 3000g on each Lil' Leftovers, I have already begun to see a general increase in the prices across a large number of servers already so get them before they are gone!
