curseryu234 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 Ok I'm a new to max level Subtlety Rogue against a Training dummy I'm able to pull 20k dps when i went to do the iron assembly it dropped by about 10k here is my armory as well as the two combat logs for the training dummy and the entirety of the iron assembly run on LFR i realize that i can expect some drop in my dps on LFR but 10k seems a bit extreme. Armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/aerie-peak/Lalerae/advanced Warcraft logs: training dummy:https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/9dk2LwjFmganzQY3#type=summary and iron assembly fights: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/P8p9rJxmk7jRMhgf#type=summary I realize the majority of it is learning my rotation which from reading the guides on this site is fairly straight forward but i never really had this much trouble on any of my alts or my main when i reached max level on them thank you for any helpful insights you are able to provide on where I'm going wrong on rotation or my armor that i have currently
lipsinch 46 Report post Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) You're doing the rotation wrong. Avoid using Hemorrhage to build CPs, the main builders are Ambush and Backstab. Second, you don't have Slice and Dice active anytime. That is a HUGE DPS increase because it makes you: Hit faster - white damage counts quite a bit, plus makes poison proc more frequently; Regen Energy, which makes you use damaging skills more often. Here's what you'll do: - Forget about Hemorrhage button, it's nearly useless. Only use it when you cannot hit the boss from behind or it's side (which nowadays is quite rare) or to fill a gap of your Rupture drop (it happens). Use Ambush and Backstab instead, they do the job 1000% better; - Focus on keeping Slice and Dice up 100% of time or as nearly as possible to that. Just doing those you'll see a great improve in your damage. I could write further stuff, but then it'd only twist your mind and trouble you more than help. Once you nail those 2 basic points, we can jump into the more complex areas of Subtlety (which are many ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ).
