I see a note saying that a "really nice weakaura for vunerable" was added in the rotation section of the guide, but I am not seeing it anywhere.

I never heard of the "meme build" untill this was added. When and how is this a viable build and rotation?

Is it a higher dps output in the average Nighthold boss fights? Or is it a more "dummy friendly" rotation with similar dps for those that are not able to maximize the previously described raidbuild? In the latter I might be trying it as I cannot seem to perform as high as I should.

Also, how many add phases would an encounter need for the AOE build? Skopyron, okay easy. But the few eyes at Gul'dan?

Last paragraph in the Trick Shot - Pure Single Target section

On top of all this, we strongly recommend using this WeakAura by Asakawa for tracking your Vulnerable. It gives you a visual overview over how many Aimed Shots you can fit into your current Vulnerable, allowing you to plan your rotation ahead of time: https://wago.io/4kR_zkMUf

I've been using the "meme" build for a couple weeks now.   I actually found it because another hunter was doing it in our first normal NH run and then I found a thread that explained it on the WOW hunter forums, on there they called it the Marked Shot build.

Basically the more adds there are in the fight the better DPS it does.  I do better in quite a few fights than our hunters who use the Trick Shot build.  I was top DPS in our heroic spellblade fight and top 5 in the other fights with a decent number of adds.  On Krosus and Trillax you will do less DPS than the Trick shot build usually, and Guldan is kind of iffy, first phase has adds but then just the eyes in the other phases so it could go either way.

What makes the build great is that you aren't reliant on getting 2 aimed shots casts off in a 4 second window, you just weaved aimed shots in whenever you can.  Because of this it is also way more mobile, way mroe forgiving of mistakes,  and I have way less issues with focus.   I'd still recommend Trick shot build for the single target fights but def recommend for all the fights with a lot of adds.

You guys say that Lone WolfLone Wolf is the most viable talent at level 15. How would you justify this?

I'm not saying you guys are wrong (hell, I use you every time I create a new character). However, I would like to see the percentage of damage done by a pet versus the damage done with Lone WolfLone Wolf.

My Hunter is currently level 52, so I cannot test this out myself (for 110). So is there anywhere I can go to see the difference between Lone WolfLone Wolf and another spec?

I really enjoy Lone WolfLone Wolf, however, I want the most DPS possible. 18% doesn't seem like much, considering a Hunter's pet does reasonably amounts of DPS over time.

I did some tests in Simcraft and here are the results:

2 targets using meme build (L&L, Explosive, Volley, Piercing):

1) Love Wolf -  656491 dps; 2) Steady Focus - 591058 dps; 3) Careful Aim -  604694 dps

1 target using standart build (True Aim, Patient Sniper, AMoC, Trick):

1) Lone Wolf - 500087 dps; 2) Steady Focus - 478710 dps; 3) Careful Aim - 471907 dps

I need some clarification pls, I cant figure it out with the guide.

Assumed it is low haste (e.g. 11%), low focus after a vulnerable window, and the proc is up already.

What is next?

1) MS, 2x AS, ~0.3s delay, AiS within 1 second vulnerable left.

2) MS, 2x AS, AiS without delay within 2 second vulnerable left.

3) AS (fill focus), MS, 1x AS, AiS within 1 second vulnerable left.

How does simming my own toon help me?  Surely all that pawn string represents is the impact of the stats mix I currently have and not what I need?  Surely one need the "deal" stats mix and not a pawn string from what they have currently?

Why is it called the "meme" build? What does "meme" mean in this use?

I've wondered about things like this too. Stat priority is mastery, crit, haste, versatility. However, every time I run sims, it usually puts versatility way up there. The updated sims I just ran have versatility tied with mastery. Simcraft will weight versatility way above what our stat priority is supposed to be. If I follow this, isn't there the potential to throw off my gear selection and ultimately hurt my dps in the long run? I mean if I'm giving priority to mastery/versatility gear when I should be giving priority to mastery/crit gear won't I be leading myself to lower dps down the road than if I had been ignoring simcraft's suggestion and choosing mastery/crit gear from the beginning? Even if right this second versatility will give me a dps increase, should I ignore it if the ultimate goal is a mastery/crit build which will give me the best performance in the end? In other words, in the end if I end up with a versatility/mastery build (which is what simcraft is telling me to do) instead of a crit/mastery build (which is our true stat priority), won't my dps suffer and be less than it could be? Right now I have two neck pieces, both the same item level. One has vers and 800 mastery, the other has crit and 1300 mastery, yet my pawn strings tell me to use the one with vers and less mastery! I can't bring myself to use it, lol.

I used the custom MM pawn string in the guide and it almost always tells me to use whatever item has higher mastery. Are you using the default pawn strings?

Question: I see the guide mentions to use Piercing shot for AOE unless you have war belt which buffs trick shot by a lot, that said, does this count towards mythic+ as well or is Piercing shot still a better option (maybe for more burst) regardless of having the war belt or not?

Thank you so much for the guide and await your response ;)

No, I'm running my own custom sims and getting the pawn strings from them.

I had to create a account just to say this.  i'm confused on the me-me build..

the rotation doesn't make sense... if this is taken and not sidewinders...

  1. Cast Marked Shot Icon Marked Shot when it is available (after casting Sidewinders Icon Sidewinders when it is glowing)

So can someone say what is the correct rotation please? :)  TYVM.

Is this means that Blizzard will fix it for ranged soon ? is there any info about that ? Because right now I guess BIS will stay the trinket from Elisande ?

As answered already, it is a Melee-specific trinket. It was never meant to be Ranged.

How do you do that?

This has since been adjusted with the introduction of the Meme build. In the TS build, this is fine.

Question to Azortharion. We have quite a lot of cleave fights in NH, what trinkets would You recommend for those fights also what 2 legends are bis for fights like this (got gloves belt and boots).

My second question. Are You gonna make short guide for NH fights in future? talent, trinkets, legendery choice and some tips for specific fights?

Not sure if there will be boss-specific guides, this is something you might get more help with on our forums.

As for the cleave fights, I'd recommend looking at Legendaries on 3-target fights (on our Simulations page). For trinkets, what do you have available?

It is just above the Multiple Target Rotation section:

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
