Can anyone comment on them? Cheers!

Have they fixed the Majordomo trinket? If it still prioritises stats based on food, it's pretty awesome.

I think some mention of the buff "Recently Used Death Strike" should be added to this guide. It's a 3 second buff applied by using Death Strike (obviously) or Marrowrend (not so obviously). It is our best way to pass boss active mitigation checks as Bone Shield doesn't count. It's also something a lot of Blood Death Knights seem to not be aware of.

Isn't this essentially just using your AM abilities to combat AM checks? I'll make a note for something to be added,

The guides are currently being updated for 7.1.5! I just wanted to leave a few notes for all of our users that might be getting ready to leave a comment:

  • Some pages do not require updates. The "Last Updated" stat does not mean the page is out of date, it might just not have needed any changes. If you feel that it does, leave a comment telling us what needs changing and why.
  • The process will not happen immediately - some guides will be updated faster than others simply due to the number of resources available. Be patient, they'll be ready when you need them!
  • There might be some continuity errors when making small adjustments to large guide pages. If you do find one of these, just let us know in the comments and we'll get it fixed ASAP.
  • "Why have you not taken into account X buff to X ability?" - remember, just because something got buffed, it doesn't mean it is now automatically better than the other options!

As always, we want to thank you all for being patient while we get things updated and I'm always available to help you all if you need it :)

Is Blooddrinker still that bad after the buff? I understand its a channel which isn't great, but on my dk it drains 1.4 million over 2.5 seconds due to my haste. For one rune, its giving me healing equal to about 3 death strikes on a 30 second cooldown, and does an insane amount of dps while doing so. Am I wrong in thinking that it would be competetive with bloodworms for healing and damage?

Its an interesting thought.
Looking at my own Blooddrinker, it heals me for 1,435,344 over 2.4s. With a 30s CD of course.
Looking for to Bloodworms, which heals for a flat 15% OF MISSING HEALTH every 15s (assuming you are getting the crits to spawn them). Now, missing health can widely vary and is 100% uncontrollable in a raid setting on such a strict timer, which is why it wasn't recommended before.
Furthermore, Bloodworms automatically burst when you drop below 50%, healing you for 15% of your missing health. Now, looking at my raw HP (no flask, no Foul Bulwark), I'm sitting at 4.5M. So, assuming at drop to 49.99% to proc the Bloodworm auto-burst, that means I'm missing approx 2,250,450 HP. Now, the Bloodworms will heal me for 15% of that MISSING value:
1 worm: 337,567
2 worms: 675,135
3 worms: 1,012,701
Now, this assumes more than 1 worm will be around at a given time due to procs. This seems pretty lackluster

However, lets look at Blooddrinker.
1,435,344 over 2.4 seconds = 598,060 HP per second
On a 3min encounter, we will get 6 uses out of this.
The overall healing potential over this is becomes 8,612,064, which is quite a bit.
The crux here could be that the resulting 2.4s channel adds difficulty to the maintenance of RP/Bone Shield, as you are unable to perform other actions during its use. (Note: You can still move, dodge, parry, etc. so that's a moot point if it were to be made)

Now, in order to select this option, we take a serious hit from Runic Power generation by not selecting Heartbreaker (+2 RP per target hit). This may also result in having less Death Strikes overall.
But, based on just looking at the raw numbers this does have potential in lower tank damage scenarios that this could pull ahead in self healing. However, due to the loss of RP and the nature of the channel its potential is reduced due to having actual healers that will be supporting your efforts to maintain your HP. It situations where you are able to cleave mobs with Heart Strike, the loss of RP will likely result in Blooddrinker falling behind, in other situations, perhaps, it may be able to do work. Real world testing is likely required

Definitely another interesting take on the yet another topic Talon, thanks for helping to answer! If either of you do continue to go ahead with testing, please feel free to show any results you get through logs or anything like that.

I love being able to forward on anything new for our writer/reviewer to take a look at! :)

Blooddrinker is certainly a Massive DPS increase and likely the 100% to take talent for single target based on recent WoL uploads from all sorts of Blood DKs.
The talent is a drain, means it directly takes that much damage.
Its 100% based on attack power, which makes it scale with Prolonged Power, Unholy Strength from out Fallen Crusader rune, etc.
1 rune for 1.4M+ damage alone is more than worth.

Mr Robot NPS parses also have it perform slightly ahead of Heartbreaker, even with its flawed logic (ill have to edit that and check later)

Hard to argue against it now.

Yeah it looks like we've got BD listed as the go-to for now, so looks that way!

Thanks for the replies :) I tested Bloodworms in heroic ToV last night and was very underwhelmed by the reults, glad to see my instincts on this were in a good spot!

Yeah, they aren't the most impactful talent right now. Glad to see that everything is now working as intended/hoped :)

And now they Nerf Blooddrinker damage by 40% hope that does not affect the healing it does.

I suspect that it will unless they change the spell mechanics around a bit.

We needed the dps boost to use as an arguement to keep us somewhat viable for mythic progression where tank dps matters.

(By somewhat I mean still mid to low tier below bear and monk now) Sigh.

No changes in the spell data so it looks like it'll go live with the healing reduction too.

Thats a damn shame about the BD nerf, I was really enjoying it. I feel like 40% was very heavy handed. I get it was winning out over the worms, but maybe 20% would have made them competitive. Is anyone going to use BD still after this reduction?

Unsure, tbh. I am sure the guide will be updated to reflect the nerfs, if needed.

Hey,

is a 865 darkmoonset trinket worth taking for the armor? I am currently at gs 882 and we are myth progress raiders. I have no problems with bigger bursty hits, but with tanking the boss for a longer time. Since 7.1.5 it feels for me, that i does not generate as much RP as pre-patch and RP-starve rly quickly.

Overall i like the trinket, but its capped at 865. But the veng DH guide rates it as the best trinket. So is it as good for us bloody knights too?

Its pretty solid alright. I use it for mythic plus and for some hard hitting raid bosses too. Its passive as well which is nice and the bonus armor from the card shuffle is buffed by our artifact after the 34th trait.

There are better trinkets as the guide points out but its more about what you need rather than whats good for everyone. Try it out and if you like it use it.  It will probably see another 10ilvl bump with 7.2 in 6-8 weeks so if you do replace it dont dump it, shove it in the bank for later.

Is this intended? I know that a few interactions with Guardian Druids got nerfed/fixed, so just wondering if this will get "fixed" in the future. Could probably affect the worth of the trinket

Thx for the reply :)

Didnt knew it scales with 34th trait, makes it better even with GS cap.  Definitely gonna give it  a try.

Dont think so. Bears had 100% bonus armor on IF, which basicly doubled the effect of the trinket. Thats led to some ridiculous amount of armor. The 10-30% isnt as OP as IF is.

True - I believe it also scaled with some of their artifact traits (not only the simple armour one), but that was nerfed/fixed. Anyway, the trinket is still very good, so definitely keep/use it :)

Hey me again :D

Got another trinket question.^^

How high is the cheat death trinket from Nighthold rated? Crit isnt a bad stat tbh and it would give us more option in the tier7 talents. Esp. bloodmirror would give us another %reduction, which we lack and is an dps increase.

Would like to hear other opinions on it. :)

      🤠(Author's introduction)🤠

Introduction: Before I begin I want to clarify that I am an old explorer and curious connoisseur of these players who dedicated their lives for years to a style of play within WoW, known as WoW F2P, I want to clarify the doubt of who this person is and what he came to represent and what he continues to represent today for level 20 communities, looking for information and more information I can say that this is the summarized result of this player known as Saruski, also known by other nicknames with which I will also be willing to better summarize this matter.

👀 (What were the beginnings?) 👀

Beginnings: Saruski started playing WoW around 2012 or 2013, but officially dedicated herself to the F2P playstyle in 2014.
She has videos on her YouTube channel where she talks about her early experiences in WoW F2P, including her time in the Alliance and later joining the Horde. These videos provide some insight into her beginnings in the game and how she became involved with the F2P community.
      👀 (What's it called?) 👀

Name and character: Saruski, whose real name is Andrea, is a recognized figure in the World of Warcraft (WoW) community, specifically among players who play for free (F2P).

👀 (What is it known for?) 👀

Pioneering the F2P community: Saruski founded and led the first international WoW F2P community on the Blizzard app. This provided a central hub for F2P players to connect, share information, and organize groups.
Advocating for F2P players: She has been a vocal advocate for F2P players, highlighting their achievements and contributions to the WoW community.
Creating content: Saruski has created videos and content to share her knowledge and experiences with the F2P community.

👀 (What does Saruski mean for WoW F2P?) 👀

Community building: Her leadership in creating the first international F2P community helped to legitimize and unify the F2P player base.
Inspiration and representation: Saruski has shown that F2P players can achieve a high level of play and contribute meaningfully to the WoW community.
Education and guidance: Her content has helped many F2P players learn the ropes and improve their gameplay.

👀 (When did he retire?) 👀

Retirement: While Saruski retired from WoW in 2020, her contributions to the F2P community remain significant. She is remembered as a pioneer, leader, and advocate for F2P players.
Saruski, a prominent figure in the WoW F2P community, while no specific reason was publicly stated, she did create a video titled "Wow Saruski Official F2p: End Of Story | 2013-2020 (English And Spanish)" which you can find on YouTube.

      👀 (Final summary) 👀

Summarizing: There are many players today who deserve high recognition, but it could be said that Saruski is the most well-known player and the one who marked a before and after in WOW F2P, given her career in the game and on the internet some people call her the legend of WOW F2P, but there is nothing official to call someone like that, therefore that is up to each person's discretion.
      End...

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.
