leiaroy 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2016 I'm pretty new to wow in general, so apologies if this has been asked to death. I'm pretty low level (70) so this may not apply for much longer and have been doing dungeons to level up. Previously I was concentrating on INT above all other stats, but I found that I was becoming too squishy so I've moved more towards gear that has a mix, including STA. My question is, is this a good idea or is there something else I should be doing to avoid the one shots?

Well, it's definitely not a good idea to gear other than Int main stat :) Survivability of dps classes is reached by general awareness to your surrounding - you shouldn't pull mobs or run before the tank, you shouldn't stay in bad stuff on the ground, you shouldn't be in melee range near the mobs, you should use your damage mitigation or self-healing abilities when a group wide damage is happening. Casting classes main contributing stat is Intellect, concentration on any other main stat is purely wrong and leads to a great dps loss. If you are a healer (you didn't write your role in dungeons), it's all the same as for dps plus not to forget to heal yourself too. Anyways, you will have Stamina on all the gear when moving to higher levels so no worries about that. :)
