2h vs 1h fist weapons

Ok so I've been using 2h polearm because I have never gotten a 2nd fist weapon. Currently I have a 516 ilvl polearm that I upgraded to 524. But I've been going thru ToT and last night I got the fist weapon 502 ilvl LFR so next week and until I get lucky to get another fist weapon I'm staying with the 2h polearm. But let's say next week that the random number gods bless me with a second fist weapon. I have more than enough VP to upgrade both fist weapons (for example we'll say 2 fist weapons from the Twins Wu, Lai Fan of Consorts) that will be 2 fist weapons @ 510 ilvl with appropriate enchants. I also have the legendary socket available. From what I read on Icy Veins WW monk it says if fist weapon is same ilvl or higher then use the fist weapon? Any advice?

It depends on what roll you got on the polearm.

I'm afraid my WW is behind the power curve and lower then my other toons, but I would think it would depend on the target much like frost dk's. Frost one handed is more for crowd control and multiple enemies while two handers are for single targets. I could be wrong, but that's my thought.

1h weapons are generally better DPS, but it depends on the weapons you have to choose from.

Write down the stats of each weapon and compare them side by side. Which has more agi? Which has more Haste, etc.. Look at the two weapons and decide "Which stats do I want and which one has more of them?"

but yes, you generally want whatever gives you a higher ilvl and if they are the same fistweapons are the way to go.
