I don't think I can help with this one, since I'm not a feral player, but hopefully someone can help out with this. Do you have any figures to go on or just the stat priority?

Pretty much just the stat priority :(

Ah, that sucks. I'm really sorry that I can't help with this one, but hopefully someone can! It seems people are phasing away from the specific weights and instead just gearing with priorities.

I believe you CAN get your own weights from Simcraft, but I'm not well versed enough in simming to do it for you, sorry! Might be worth taking a look into it, anyway.

Noxxic has stat weights for Feral Druids!

I use them, but I am not 100% confident that they are actually accurate, so use with caution. Better than nothing, however. You can use these with addons like "Pawn", to get specifics on upgrades or swapping gear. Let me post them for you below.

Stat priority:

Agility > Crit > Versatility > Mastery > Haste

Stat weights:

Agility [12.07] > Crit [10.57] > Versatility [9.07] > Mastery [7.57] > Haste [6.07]

Pawn string (Addon; copy and paste into it if you have it installed):

( Pawn: v1: "PvE-Druid-Feral-Noxxic": CritRating=10.57, MasteryRating=7.57, Agility=12.07, HasteRating=6.07, Versatility=9.07 )

The problem with these weights is that, according to our priority, their priority is wrong.

That so? Please, allow yourself to explain :)

EDIT: They changed the stats a mere day ago, and Blainie must've been salty over me pointing out his previous inaccuracy.

New stats are as follows:

  1. Agility;
  2. Mastery;
  3. Critical Strike;
  4. Versatility;
  5. Haste.

EDIT 2:

Did some Simcrafting earlier

T19 Feral Druid DPS with 2 major traits, being Ashmane's Bite & Open Wounds

Agi     Mastery    Vers    Crit    Haste    Wdps
12.90    7.98       7.85    7.84    6.96       6.50

Ranking (Priorities):     Agi > Mastery ~= Vers ~= Crit > Haste ~= Wdps

Pawn string:  ( Pawn: v1: "Druid_Feral_T19P": Agility=12.90, CritRating=7.84, HasteRating=6.96, MasteryRating=7.98, Versatility=7.85, Dps=6.50 )

These are the talents used, which seem to be the ones working best right now. Mind you that some of them are purely out of personal preference.

I'm confused. Who changed their stats? If you mean us at Icy Veins, then yes, we change the stats frequently to ensure they are up-to-date.

I'm not sure where you get the image that I am salty from - I am doing my job by simply responding to you and stating that our priority did not match the one you listed. I am not a feral player, nor have I ever stated I am one. I am simply referring you to our site which is written and maintained by people who are top ferals.

As for your simulation, thanks for your contribution to the IV community. I'm sure it will come in handy for someone. Glad to see that you are so eager to help us with your own work. I'm sure you can agree that your sims are rather different from the weights you posted before, which I did say were wrong.

Don't get too excited, but I will be replying to 2 of your comments in a short space of time. See you in the other thread!

Ok, so I have always been a little confused by the commonly vetted stat weights for feral druid.

As I have seen in multiple places, it goes as follows. Agi>Mastery>Veratility>Critical strike>Haste

From rough calculations, the percentage return of each stat per 1000 points is as follows

5% Mastery per 1000 points (increases damage of bleeds. I.e Rake and Rip)

2.5% Critical strike per 1000 points (doubles damage and combo points received on critical strikes)

2% Blanket damage increase 1000 points of versatility (blanket damage increase with half as much damage influx reduction)

So given that by my logs over the last few weeks of raiding, 52% of my damage is through bleeds, and that through a passive, you gain double combo points for critical strikes. How is it that versatility, which in terms of raw damage (not counting the damage reduction), which builds slower than the 2 other stats, as well as having no synergy with any other spells rank so high on weights?

Also is there a soft min/max ammount of crit so that when using savage roar, you can effectively build enough combo points to keep all bleeds (buffed as much as possible through tiger's fury) and savage roar up 100%

TL;DR I apologise for the 10kk word essay, but I dont usually post in forums and therefore am not great at trimming the fat whilst still asking the right questions.

I have some great news for you! You've been gravely misinformed of your stat priority, only Agi and Mastery are in their correct places which means that if you've been focusing on getting versatility on your gear, you have an easy road ahead of you because literally any stat you replace it with will be a major upgrade for you.

As a cat, your stat priority and weights of each stat for 7.1.5 (January 10th 2017) are as follows:

  1. Agility: [12.05]
  2. Mastery: [10.55]
  3. Critical Strike: [9.05]
  4. Haste: [7.55]
  5. Versatility: [6.05]

So rest assured, your suspicions are 100% correct, versatility is hot garbage for us as it has been throughout Legion.

As for your Savage Roar question, this is a lot more of a loaded question than i believe you're suspecting. While a goal is to maintain a 100% uptime for Savage Roar, this should be a secondary goal to maintaining a 100% Rip/Rake uptime with your +DMG buffs loaded up and ready to go. As far as i'm aware, Feral is the only remaining snapshot class in WoW (maybe DH but i don't know them well enough to say for sure). What this means is even if you only use 1 CP for Savage Roar and it's active for only 3 seconds, that's enough time for you to add a 25% damage buff to Rake and Rip for their full durations. Clever snapshotting is where the vast majority of your damage comes from. Ashamane's Rip procs are also based off your currently applied Rip, meaning you lose 0 damage from it if it procs and Savage Roar is down-- but you will lose damage if Savage Roar wasn't up when you applied your Rip even if you have Savage Roar up when Ashamane's Rip procs.

So to reiterate, snapshot damage is reliant on what buffs you have up at the time you're applying your dots.

  • Berserk [+15% DMG]
  • Tiger's Fury [+15% DMG]
  • Savage Roar  [+25% DMG]
  • Bloodtalons [+50% DMG]
  • Prowl/Shadowmeld/Incarnation [+100% DMG on Rake]
    • Rip Maximum Bonus: +105% DMG
    • Rake Maximum Bonus: +205% DMG

In layman's terms, you want to have as high a +DMG% as possible for every instance where it's time to refresh your bleeds. If you're rolling with Bloodtalons as a talent, never refresh a dot without it up. An important thing to consider is that the [+50% DMG] from Bloodtalons is only 5% lower than the combined [+55% DMG] from Berserk (15%), Tiger's Fury (15%) and Savage Roar (25%) combined

** Keep in mind though that if you do choose to refresh SR at less than 5 CPs, without Ailuro Pouncers [http://www.wowdb.com/items/137024] you run a very real risk of not getting a Predatory Swiftness proc (aka, free shapeshifted-regrowth for a 2x bloodtalons proc). If this happens, a shift and hardcasted regrowth to ensure your Rake/Rip is buffed with Bloodtalons is crucial to maximizing your DPS in a pinch. But these shoes are your golden ticket to reaching that 100% uptime goal.

Sorry for the 10k word essay, but like yourself, i like to be thorough :D . Good luck fellow cat!

      Hi Everyone,

Returning to D3 after an absence.
Trying to figure out the best desired stat rolls for items as per the guides, have always struggled with this.
Am deciding to play DH Shadow Impale build this season 25. For example:

      The Compass Rose
      1. Socket
      2. Critical Hit Chance
      3. Critical Hit Damage
      4. Area Damage or Attack Speed
So am I looking for a ring rolled with all these stats? Because most of the time it will roll with Dexterity. So wouldn't it be unlikely that I would find such a ring?
If I had one with say Dex,CHD,socket and Attack speed    -     should I reroll Dex into CHC? Doesn't this defeat the purpose of Ancients? (as the ancient would have possible higher Dex but not higher CHC)
What if CHD was really low and Dex was really high? What if overall damage goes down because I re-roll Dex?
I'm confused. Just trying to figure out how to decide between 2 items.
EG: I have 2 Convention of Elements
      Priorities are:
      1. Socket
      2. Critical Hit Chance
      3. Critical Hit Damage
      4. Area Damage or Attack Speed
      Ring A (Ancient):                Ring B (non-Ancient):
      +618 Dexterity                     +473 Dexterity
      CHD : + 46% (rolled)            + 49% (rolled)
      CHC: + 4.5%                           +5.0%
      Socket                                     Socket
The game shows no difference in damage but minus in toughness and recovery on Ring B (must be secondary stats)

Which Ring is better? (should I choose?)
Thanks for any explanation of this. Especially @Deadset

So the stat priority page of the guide ranks haste much higher than strength but the consumables guide recommends the feast for strength even though the haste food offers more haste which should make it the better choice surely?
Hoping someone more aware of the theorycrafting to clear that up for me.

This mainly applies for raiding by the way but if there is a different answer for M+ I am interested to know the answer there.

Hey IV, I made a simple stats calculator stats calculator for wow classic in javascript.
You select a class, then enter values into the fields for Stamina, Strength, Agility, Intellect and Spirit. As you type it updates the results which show you useful information based on what stats you entered - like dodge, and crit percentages, class-specific statistics like Ranged AP for Hunters and block for Druids in bear form etc.
Hopefully people find this useful for comparing item benefits and racial starting stats, or for learning how base stats affect different classes in Classic. Did you know for example that Shamans can build Block with Str items?
I didn’t just post here to show this off - I need some help with calculating Spirit. Some users have commented that Spirit health/mana regen values are too high for various classes (for example Paladins) and was wondering if anyone here had some more information on this!

Anybody can help with this? I'm using simcraft to get the stat priority for my MM's gear but it is giving me crazy results, not sure why. Agility=83.13, Ap=80.24, CritRating=0.83, HasteRating=46.84, MasteryRating=1.04, Versatility=217.72, Dps=297.72
According to stat priority lists, such as the icy veins one, mastery should be the predominant stat. Now I understand that it can change depending on gear and other things, but this much???
I've attached a screenshot wit the settings in simcraft, in case it helps.
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Sorry if it's a noob question.
      Cheers!
