Catering for the colour blind - just something I've noticed

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've just been looking at the resto druid healing artifact talents/traits page for the suggested artifact progression path and encountered a problem.  I can't tell the difference between the yellow (or is it green) arrows and the green (or is it yellow?) paths on the image as I'm colour blind.

Now I'm not saying "CHANGE IT NOW!" or anything stroppy like that but I thought it worth making you aware of this for the future.

Ta, continue with the great site!

This was something that we realised when posting the guides and have been actively looking for a solution to implement. Do you, as someone that suffers from it, have a suggestion that you feel could help?

We were considering using different shapes to form the lines or different arrowheads to display the routes.

This definitely crossed my mind when I made the artifact images. I was just pressed with time and didn't manage to find a way I could easily implement. For example, I wanted to add some small patterns on the arrows themselves, like triangles, squares, circles, etc. but couldn't figure out how to do it quickly in Photoshop.

I'll keep thinking but I'm open to suggestions.

I think the simplest solution would be to add stripes or some other pattern to arrows of colours that can be problematic.  In my case, it's colours such as light green/yellow that cause me issues but other people can differ.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll do our best to implement something that can differentiate. In the meantime, is there anything I can help with concerning the artifact trait paths you need?
