Retri paladin stat prio

So I've just rerolled a paladin as they got buffed immensly in 5.3 with the 15% buff to Sword of Light(right?)

Anyhow I'm concerned about the stat priority on my character as every website I see says go haste to infinity and beyond.

Apart from the icy-veins guide where it says that sub 496ish you should go for strength.

However I got 502 ilvl with a few tank pieces and I simmed my character and found out that 1 point of strength was better than 2 points of haste, exact weights were 3.84 strength and 1.56 haste.

Dont look at the enchants or gems as I know wich ones to replace already. But looking at the gear in general, what is it causing strength to be better? If it's even better at all.

EDIT: I did replace the bad enchants/gems in the simulation so as I said, dont bother them

The stat weights are very fluid and move in value based on how much of each stat you currently have. My recommendation is to always go Haste gemming once you are out of Dungeon Blues. With your gear level it simply won't matter which way you gem (we are talking about less than a 2% dps difference). I would not spend money to replace gems on your current armor, but when you do replace items go with Haste.

Replacing your weapon and perfecting your rotation is where the real dps gains are gonna come from.

Agreed 100% with Vlad, get the sword from reg/LFR Council or craft the 502 weapon (seeing how you are a 600 BS), and that will improve matters more than anything you could do by gemming or reforging.

Thanks for the answer Vlad, was really helpful. As for the weapon that shouldnt be of a concern as we're doing an alt-run this wednesday and we're clearing everything on normal. So with a little luck I can get the 2h sword from trash, dat haste :)
