Raid Healing Spots

Recommended Posts

Ok so I just started playing wow again since wotlk but we are currently running a resto druid holy priest and disc priest. My question is who should focus tanks and who should focus raid healing

Hello,

things changed a lot since WotLK and the simple answer would be: there's no division into tank/group/raid healing anymore and no such assignments.

Just to update you on the current state, Holy Paladin is the best tank/single target healing, resto shaman and resto druid - best raid wide healers: shaman on low HP and heavy AoE damage, druid - HoTs and healing on move, holy priest and MW monk can switch between single target and AoE with a changes to their talents, disc priest is more of a support healer that does dps.

Still, all these are more of recommendations and classes' strengths but all healing classes can heal everything.

Just to add to what Panda said above:

As with DPS, unless you're pushing for some kind of ranking in your realm/region whatever, it's not going to matter much. As long as you don't run 4 disc priests, it's fine. Be sensible and make the best of what you have.

Healers have been balanced around different things to the extent that you no longer need to assign anything. Some healers simply have more tools to AoE heal, so they might AoE heal more. This doesn't mean they explicitly need to do so.

For Legion, healing is healing.
