Shimino 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 Hi there Our mage got a problem with his DPS. We checked logs and we somehow came with an answer but we dont know for sure (I've never been mage and its his first time playing mage). We think that his low DPS compared to a pug mage that we had is his Artifact Trait. Im saying that because his buff up time and stuff is better than the pug one but his damages are low. We will be thankful if you can help us out. (Main Trait that our mage has gone for is Aftershock and now we think that he should have gone for Pyretic Incantation) My first question is does it worth that he reset his Artifact trait points and go for that Main Trait or just wait for another 200K AP to get to that Trait. 2nd question is do we even right about the Problem. https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Q46qgLVrpBJAD9XM/#type=auras&source=5 Our mage is Darkangel and pug one is Orianna Thanks
Lily 23 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 Hey there, Quote My first question is does it worth that he reset his Artifact trait points and go for that Main Trait or just wait for another 200K AP to get to that Trait. YES! Aftershock is the worst golden trait you can choose to start with. Pyretic Incantation is far ahead of the other 2 and 200K AP is insane to wait for. Check the guide, to get the "right" (or best way) to skill up the artifact. Pyretic Incantation is the reason why you keep stacking as much crit as you can get and a really good DMG-buff. Moreover Aftershock is an AoE talent and being in first place on trash groups is nearly worth nothing for raidcontent. Also firemage isn't really good at AoE in general atm. Didn't have the time to look deeply into the logs, but with a short view it seems mainly right what your mage is doing. Changing the artifact trait should have some impact on his DPS. Greetings Lilý :)
