lazyal 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 I got lucky enough to get one of the legendary rings, The Apex Predator's Claws(http://www.wowhead.com/item=137382/the-apex-predators-claw) and I was wondering if the best spec for overall DPS would be Tank spec since your pet gets all of the passive benefits of the others and the tank spec has a few extra damaging abilities. Anyone know which would be better?
Iridar 80 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 Thunderclap seems slightly less focus-efficient than pet's basic attack only on pure single target. Without doing any sims, I'd say - good thinking, go Tenacity.
chicken 4 Report post Posted September 29, 2016 I just got this ring as well. Legendary #2! : ) In Azor's BM guide it says: "If you get this legendary, however, you should use a Tenacity pet as it is very slightly stronger. Remember to turn off Thunderstomp's autocast." I wonder what's the reasoning for it. Disabling Thunderstomp kinda makes switching to tenacity pointless.
Valks 2,375 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 I know this is sort of overly simple, but could it be to do with threat at all?

chicken 4 Report post Posted September 30, 2016 I will say during the double dragon boss fight in EM yesterday my pet randomly died and I assumed it was because I left thunder stomp on. I never had the issue after turning it off. This could have been coincidence and my anecdotal experienced doesn't support anything. Does it reduce single target damage if it is used in a non AoE situation?

Maybe Charge > Dash and Thunderstomp auto cast is bad. Should use it in only AoE situations only?
