Gugenheim 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2016 How do you manage your rolls in quick fights like packs or bosses that die quickly? I feel like sometimes you're wasting a lot of time and damage re-rolling for optimal buffs with 5-6 CP. Especially if the buffs proc at the end of the pack and the next fight isn't in close distance. Should you sometimes re-roll with 3-4 CP or just run through in order to cleave the maximum number of mobs? For example, imagine a pack of 6 mobs you're at 6 CP with Jolly roger and 3 mobs have less than 10% health. Isn't a reroll a dps loss in this occasion? Also how long does the target have to last in order for ghostly strike to become useful? Is it always necessary to apply it on adds? Thanks in advance ! Duration doesn't matter so much, so long as GS isn't the only skill you use before the mob dies - if you GS > RT it becomes quite valuable, for example. As for Rolling, it's a really hard question and I don't think there's any real correct answer. If you roll with 2CP for example, you stand a chance of completely wasting a 6-buff timer because you'll have to roll over it in a few short seconds. I generally roll if I have excess points at the end of a pack; if you take advantage of the 30% addition from the Pandemic mechanic, you can get quite a long roll out. Any time you have a bad roll it's generally worth getting rid of though, just in case a really good one shows up. On that note, if you roll 6 buffs, you can make a much larger pull than normal on the next pack or two, especially if you have cooldowns to help you. Communicate with your team and tell them to go smash faces.
nbf77 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2016 So you are playing with ghostly strike in myth+? But that isnt the max dps for aoe-fights right? So is the overall DPS (including boss-fights) higher with GS? And what about Cannonball Barrage? I take this, is it more effective to choose the 20% haste in myth+ too? Particularly at higher difficulties yes GS is better. CBarr is up to you. I'm not sure what the best way of doing it is, but the more people you pull at once the more effective it is
