[FIRE] How can I improve my DPS further?

Hello there :)

Currently I'm playing firemage with 59 % crit (with 300 bufffood). I'm raiding as well and we are 6/7 nhc (we're not going for progress ;)). Depending on the fights I'm able to maintain between 180k and 220k dps. But from everyone I'm just hearing that this dps is way too low and I have to change something. So this is why I'm asking you ;)

I'm going to upload a dummy log, so you can see my complete rotation how I am going through it. This is the way I am doing it in raid as well, depending on mechanics and movement a bit different (maybe I can upload a Cenarius and Xavius Log tomorrow when were going to raid). So my question is: Is there a mistake in my rotation, am I doing it right? I know Im missing gems right now, but they are just way too expensive right now :)

I did a quick view onto your log, and im pretty sure its because ur use of the RoP.. The third time to cast it should be far before combustion goes off cd, its like 1 combustion, 3 RoP, 1 combustion, 3 RoP.. and try to do it when u have at least 1 phoenix and 1 fire blast so less time casting, more damage.

If you are pre-potting, then using a pot during the burn phase, or during your next big burn phase because hero was used at the start, and you are using ROP with Combustion correctly, and you are fishing for Pyros there isn't much else you can do.

 

I did some small tweaks to my priorities last week.  I was doing ROP wrong and I corrected that.  I now am easily pulling 280~320k dps sustain.

 

The info is in the guide, just make sure you're following it.

 

Pre-pot/precast pyro 4.5 seconds before pull.  Ramp up to an instant pyro, hold it and cast ROP then combustion.  Then go straight into your combustion burn.  Using FB and PF to keep your pyros stacking.  If you let your Pyretic Incantation fall off, you're losing a lot of dps.

 

Then go into you're regular Pyro fishing rotation.  Fireball to get a hotstreak, FB, cast another Fireball then immediately Pyro to proc another hotstreak/instant pyro.  You should be able to get 2~3 more ROP in before your Combustion is off CD, just ensure that you save ROP for Combustion alongside 2 PF, 2 FB, and Flame On.

 

I don't like using dummies for logs.  Go into LFR and upload those logs.  Dummies are fool proof and don't give you the information you really need.

So well I'm back again.. was pretty ill the last few weeks...

Thanks for all your tipps up to now! Well I think Ive read the guides like a million times, and im following it as best as i can. just prepotting is something im not doing right now since its not necessary for our raid.

So last sunday we were raiding and finally beating the last boss Xavius, so i can provide a log from this.

Another question I have, and what im really struggling with, is how to deal damage while moving.. I know i have scorch and such but how do you modify your rotation when its a movement intens fight?

Like I said above, follow the guide and use your ROP correctly and you'll be fine.  Pre-potting gives a substantial increase to DPS.

 

As far as moving with damage, you use ice flows.
