xtech 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2016 (edited) not sure what im doing wrong. i think my gear may not be appropriate for fire, thats all i can think off currently. ive been using the rotation in the icy veins guide for a fire mage, though adjusted for hard casting pyros due to the legendary. problem is dps is rather low. 180k-ish. sometimes i can burst up to 300k but usually levels off around 160-200k afterwards. here's my armory:http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/dalaran/Sylvarrea/simple what can i do to get my numbers up? a link to a rotation or some type of updated guide would be great. Zadina 923 Report post Posted October 9, 2016 Our rotation in our guide, which you have already read, is up-to-date ^^ From a quick look at your gear, you don't have Crit on all of your gear pieces. You will want to go for Crit always, even if it means dropping your item level. Not chaotic differences though, for example don't go for an item level 815 Crit piece if you are wearing an 860. Your trinkets are also not very good. The Nightmare Bloom isn't that bad but there are better options out there. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Thazi 4 Report post Posted October 16, 2016 You have a lot of haste. Drop the haste, get more Crit. Get above 55% crit. Dont feel bad about dropping from an 860 to an 840 or 845. Crit is king. As far as your comment on hard casting Pyros. I do hope you are only hard casting them AFTER a hotstreak, and only once. You get a hotstreak, cast the pyro, then cast a hard cast pyro then go back to normal rotation. Get some more crit, your DPS will increase. As long as you're following the rotation correctly.
