Kazistrasz 216 Report post Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Given that I had offers from a good handful of 8/14 to 10/14 guilds until money wound up not being available for me to transfer, you should have no problem whatsoever finding your way into a hell of a guild. Naturally, every single warlock here will vouch for you. Edited November 12, 2013 by Kazistrasza

Liquidsteel 279 Report post Posted November 12, 2013 If it helps, you aren't the only one I've seen in this situation. People seem to focused on the future like "we don't want to raid 20 man in 6+ months, lets disband now". Sad that you couldn't stick together for another 2-3 months at least and finish the tier on a high. That said, you ain't gonna have issues.

This is what I'm doing as well, finishing SoO with my current group and then finding something new. Recruiting 12 people to my dead server and such is just not going to happen. Muoric 3 Report post Posted November 13, 2013 Somehow I feel that this just became a recruitment thread Gl for all trying to find new guilds though, going to be a damn volatile situation until a few weeks of WoD has gone by. Or maybe a full tier.

Oldtrout 7 Report post Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Hey guys. Long-time lurker (and admirer), decided to finally sign up as this seems the best warlock community on the net. Quick question regarding Nazgrim. We downed him last night for the first time in heroic, and I was playing affliction instead of destruction because I felt we needed my glyphed CoEx on the assassins, and the extra pet and rolling dot damage (for a while at least) in defensive stance is nice to have. Overall though I wasn't too happy with my performance on it, partly due to bad luck with PBI not proccing for an absolute eternity on the opener, and also my fairly inexperienced affliction play (was exclusively demo until 5.4, and have played destro for the majority), but that's not really what I wanted to ask about. Anyway the question: now I know dots that are applied before he enters defensive stance don't generate rage on him, but I was wondering if it's worth it (if his rage is low enough) to keep agony rolling at 10? Do dots generate rage on every tick or just on the application? I'm guessing that keeping agony at 10 for the duration is worth it for the 2-4 rage it'd generate, but obviously not 20-40 or whatever the number may be if it were to generate on every tick. We also had a few attempts on Malkorok. Do any of you guys take Dark Bargain to help the tanks during P2, either taking blood rage for 8 secs or by soaking orbs? Then again I let my dots drop in defensive stance, just to make it safe. Never been a dps issue for us, at least not as long as people don't die to mechanics. Can't help with 2nd, our tank soloes the blood rage with a ton of cds on him. Wouldn't recommend it for soaking orbs.
Liquidsteel 279 Report post Posted November 13, 2013 I have seen it discussed a lot, and the main thing that people say is that only dots which deal initial damage give him rage. Something like flame shock or shadow word: pain. I believe affliction is ok to keep him dotted up.
Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted November 13, 2013 I have seen it discussed a lot, and the main thing that people say is that only dots which deal initial damage give him rage. Something like flame shock or shadow word: pain. I believe affliction is ok to keep him dotted up. This is correct. Anything applied to him that does not do DIRECT damage will not generate rage for him. This includes Agony, Unstable Affliction, and Corruption. You CAN use Soul Swap now because they removed the damage application. There is that awkward time after he goes Defensive where you have nothing to do other than watch DoT ticks, and that's ok. If you have some sweet DoTs rolling (empowered ones), Soul Swap from Nazzy to the adds...otherwise, DoT 'em up. As for Malkorok, just sacrifice a pet and use Shadow Bulwark for the HUGE HP pool. Your tanks should not need your defensive cooldown to help them live and taking that huge DoT going into the next Phase 1 might force healers to focus on you at the expense of your raid. The healers have to keep people topped off as best they can before that phase. If you're unlucky with taking a huge DoT with Dark Bargain and then you get immediately thrown into the air, you'll be in trouble. For this fight, use GoSacrifice and Soul Link...the huge HP pool is actually quite beneficial here because your maximum shield is equal to your maximum HP...more life = more survivability. You should be the last one to die every time. Hey guys. Long-time lurker (and admirer), decided to finally sign up as this seems the best warlock community on the net. Congrats on your kill, and welcome to the community.

Liquidsteel 279 Report post Posted November 13, 2013 Ha sorry my "Come to Kazzak" post was directed at Khaos/Zevrosh, who is one of the few players here that's on EU. I know you're US... And yes, the amount of offers I had when I flagged myself as LFG on wowprogress was hilarious.
