Looking for Outlaw assistance

Hi I have been scratching my head trying to improve my friends DPS with their Outlaw Rogue, despite gear improvements the DPS is abysmal

and the rogue class is not really my strong area, so I am seeking some greater wisdom. and any help would be greatly appreciated.

To be fair the player is new so i was not expecting record breaking numbers  just these are extremely low and have had no real improvement over the weeks and I'm stumped as to where to guide the player for improvement.

First off:  it will be much better for them to come here and talk about it / read about it than you. That way they can actually understand what's going on, instead of you looking at logs and not knowing what you're looking for or how to fix it. Seriously, send the player this way, it will be better.

That said:

• Using Ghostly Strike will give an increase
• Using Roll the Bones properly will help; there's a thread stickied at the top of the forums here to read
• You should recommend that they get Weakauras to help track things
• Why are they using WoD Versatility potions, and not prepotting?

Cool thanks I will try and get them on.  I also play an outlaw and showing them the class is what made their mind up.  so I have a bit of an understanding just my rogue is only 108 atm as I'm on my main more. As for the potions, I think they were left over hand me downs from the guild bank. being new I assume not much gold. I also think they are taking what AMR is telling them far too seriously.
