Gold Making: Blood of Sargeras Vendor

Recommended Posts

24dgfx4.jpg

Patch 7.1 is approaching and a lot of players will be lured by the siren of false riches.

What will happen after Patch 7.1 goes live?

  • Prices of reagents will go drastically down as there will be a large spike in supply. Players will be burning their bloods. Many players are currently sitting on lots of bloods, because apart from Professions there's currently no use for them.
    • These very same players are willing to make quick Gold, which is where we will strike to make even more.
  • Prices will stabilize again somewhere below their current values when people burn all their bloods.

We want to make the most out of this opportunity, because we are patient little Goblins, right? Here are some steps to make you prepared for the Patch.

  • Nobody will be buying crappy items like Unbroken ClawUnbroken Claw or Lean Shank from the vendor as they want to maximize the value of bloods.
  • It all comes down to players whining about how expensive all herb-based products (flasks, elixirs) are, so let's talk herbs!

Hebs

Will be the most valued commodity. Let's do a little research based on current Median Prices (US)

Note the prices are prior to the Blood of Sargeras trader, so they will decline.

Blood Spending

So, spending a blood on the Fjarnskaggl is 443.10 Gold, Foxflower 488.60 Gold and Starlight Rose just 344.13 Gold, which bring us to a conclusion that to get the maximum value of your bloods spend them on FjarnskagglFjarnskaggl & FoxflowerFoxflower on Patch day & resell right away as prices will go down through next week and won't reach today's prices.

Buying Herbs (from AH) & Making Profit

  • Starlight RoseStarlight Rose is a reagent used for many flasks and potions. It's also an item that will be overbought with bloods. On Patch day (October 25), prices are likely to be underpriced. The influx in supply will be vast and the price reduction will be crazy on Tuesday/Wednesday.
    • Meaning players will be undercutting and selling relatively cheap.
  • Wait until at least November 8 when Trial of Valor opens and resell all the roses when the demand gets higher and people will have spent their bloods.

Closing Tips

  • Don't forget to set up your Sniper to constantly scan the Auction House as miss-pricing will definitely occur. A separate account just for constant Sniping can always make you tons of gold!

Median price doesn't mean realm price. It's the halfway point between very cheap and very expensive. US - means across all servers in the NA region. Sniper is a powerful function of an add-on called TradeskillMaster, which allows you to buy cheap items and resell them higher. Basically, it's a real-time search of the Auction House. You get 3x roses from the vendor and 10x fj/fox, maybe pay a little more attention to the article :)

So for maximum gold profit which herb should I go for? Fjarnskaggl/Foxflower and sell them right away on the patch day or Roses and sell them off on Nov 8?

Check which herb has more value on your realm. I dare say this isn't even relevant, given the 4 gold difference in median and it's hard to say what happens with the herbs. Foxflower may even become cheaper than Fjarnskaggl after the vendor hits live.

If you want to make quick gold with your bloods sell right away, as there will be lots of undercutting. I don't think reagent prices will stay at their current level. As for the rose, that's more for those who want to abuse people posting plenty of them for ridiculous prices. It's more of an investment "buy cheap now, resell higher later".

Either way if you're sniping and have your TSM properly set up, it should display any of the underpriced flowers.

Your logic is odd to me. Why spend your Bloods on release if you plan to sell them in the future? That's nonsense. Save your bloods, the future will come, and you can check to see which mats will net you the most profit.

However I am going to be spending every last one of my bloods on order resources and laugh at everyone else's regret. :)

What I meant was if:

  • > you want to make profit out of your bloods right away, buy the herbs with the highest median in your region
    • reselling them immediately will give you the most gold, because prices of reagents will keep declining.
  • > if you want to make profit of people burning their bloods, buy starlight rose from AH :)
    • it will be up cheap and its value will rise again on ToV release, as there is always a big flask demand whenever new raids open.

hopefully this clears it up a little, i've edited the part

No no no!

This information is so bad it is crazy.  EVERYONE will be dumping their herbs and prices will crash so why would you buy any herbs at all?!  You will need millions of gold to keep up with the Starlight Rose market on some servers and their bloods will keep coming so you won't ever be able to keep ahead of the game.  The amount you have to invest will never be worth the potential 50g profit per herb (which will never happen)

Prices are never going back up after this vendor kicks in.

DO NOT BUY ANY HERBS FROM THE AH! DO NOT WAIT UNTIL 8th NOVEMBER.

Try and trickle sell any you have over the next week before the vendor kicks in, same goes with potions and flasks for the same reason.  Players will start to panic and the prices will just plummet as the average players with a massive stack of bloods is going to dump them into herbs.

Be prepared for very aggressive and volatile markets on the AH as soon as the vendor is available and if you do want to sell herbs be prepared to cancel and relist your auctions multiple times.

SMH.

I have seen prices go way up instead of down on Winterhoof Seems the Blood vendor isn't bringing prices down but then again its the first day and people bought a bunch of herbs and are trying to gouge other players into paying stupid prices. I see a 500 percent hike compared to before the vendor hit.

Maybe someone's trying to control the market created a bubble? Starlight RoseStarlight Rose has dropped to 50g on my server (literally I had a guy selling 1074 pc/55K), prices are still declining. Which specific herbs do you mean? Checking Winterhoof, I can see all herbs only declining in price.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
