Got those stats

867 ilvl

38% crit

125% mastery

 

I read "somewhere" that MP is better than 100% uptime EP at 9k mastery, (something like 135%)

 

I'm actually 8.2k mastery,

 

Solid 300-320k dps,

 

My question is,

 

Is it true ? :)

I know this doesn't specifically answer your question but i am 847 with 40% Crit and 113% Mastery and recently switched to MP. My DPS shot up a significant amount. I think this is more about me not managing EP as well as I should, but even on SimC for my toon they are fairly close with EP maybe 6 K ahead. But I know for my play style I will get better results with MP. 

I think it's great to Sim but really until you actually take your new toy into a real situation and try it out it's impossible to stay.

Elaborate Planning is currently the best talent in all situations in the first Tier. 

That said, if you aren't using it correctly, you may see better results with Master Poisoner.

I'm now better with the EP mechanics,

and I have to say...

This is totally better than MP,

If you can keep EP up as  long as possible (even using 3+ cp evenoms while using full CP ruptures) it will excel. If you're in a fight where you can't manage this, MP will be far better.
