Frost mage - in need of help

heya there guys,

i'm in need of some help for my raiding purposes, for some reason i cannot seem to get above 200k dps in raids while in dungeons i am pulling 250 to 300k dps.

if any of you has an idea i am open for suggestions, you can simply reply here or contact me ingame my realid is : Eliree#2964

1) Moved this to the mage section for mage specific help. (i'm not a mage so....)

2) I didn't think world of logs was still around and/or active.  Damn.  Still has the terrible interface too.  Upload your logs to http://www.warcraftlogs.com/ as people here will have a much, much, easier time reading WCL.

I see you're running a glacial spike build, so what i'm about to say is more geared towards a thermal void build with Ice Lance as your main dps.. Also with the way our artifact weapon rewards you for stacking crit due to frozen veins, chain reaction and let it go...I find going to the glacial spike route a lil counter intuitive...at higher ilvls where you can get gear to maintain a 33% crit while also having around 30% haste and good mastery then a glacial spike build could be more viable...of course that is my opinion.

 

but bottom line as i see it...

 

Your crit is low. Your crit needs to be around 33% for raiding. The reason for this is your shatter ability which causes your ice lances to hit for much more. currently your crit is 24.59 which in shatter terms looks like this 24.59*1.5+50=86.88 then you factor in crit suppression of bosses/mobs (or -1% per level above your own) which is -3% crit, which leaves you with 83.885 chance to crit on frozen targets with ice lance.

 

Basically you need to add another 10% more crit to get to around 34.59 (minimum 33).
