Oogalooga 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 It looks like everyone including icyveins guide is saying crit is better after you're getting 22% haste but simcraft is telling me: ( Pawn: v1: "Blocklol": Strength=8.80, CritRating=7.52, HasteRating=7.10, MasteryRating=6.68, Versatility=8.81 ) Can I trust it? Versatility > All.
Vellithe 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2016 The guide is a simple overview, while SimCraft will take into account the whole of your gearing point. It is totally possible that this is true for your toon at your current iLvl with your current itemization and your current talents. Also important to remember that SimCraft will take a very specific playstyle coupled with a very specific "fight". If you don't play exactly as SimCraft is playing, the information it's giving you stops holding true. If the fight is different from the one SimCraft was counting on, the information it's giving you stops holding true. So take SimCraft's opinion with a grain of salt. Oogalooga 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2016 Yes but shouldn't the stats weight stayed the same no matter what?
beromithu 4 Report post Posted November 13, 2016 Not specifically the stats priority may change depending on the style of fight, say your doing nythendra then the simcraft stat weights are probably correct due to it being a basic tank and spank boss that just stands there. But if you take a look at say ilgonoth maybe crit is better due to the cleave required this is why stat weights can deviate from simcraft recomendations. also if you do not play with the exact same rotation as simcraft and there is any movement during the fight simcraft would be unreliable to show an exact raid scenario.
