New Hero: Valeera Sanguinar

We hear her talk at around 2:57 in the Varian & Ragnaros reveal video from BlizzCon. The female voice in the Forged By Fire video matches the voice of Valeera Sanguinar from the Rogue Order Hall in Legion. We can safely assume Valeera is the next Hero to be added to the Hero roster soon.

This isn't the only evidence we've got. Blizzard has added and removed Valeera & Lunar Year 2017 from their official press kit website. It had the date January 24,

Another pretty accurate leak of Hero/Skin releases from what seems to be 4chan from November 2016 got all Heroes/Skins right and the only remaining Heroes are Valeera and Kel'thuzad.

While rounding up the Hearthstone heroes lineup seems like a decent and flavorful idea, I can't help but think this game doesn't need more Assasin heroes. It's already way too oversaturated IMO. Lot of viable and different things there, and going "what people like" instead of "what the game needs" design route is the straightest road to damnation.

Personally, I would like to see a Support character added, ASAP. As a Support main, I can't help but wonder how HotS got this far with such a small pool, where there are only essentially 4 unique characters for that role - Kharazim and Tyrande because of their high damage output, Auriel because of the unique  healing mechanic and Tassadar because he sucks. Everything else is just variations on sustain/damage split, bar some general utility. We had a very good  "supportive" Warrior in Zarya - a very good hero and interesting design for sure - so why can't we have more "multiclassing" Supports, like Kharazim or Tyrande? 

Medivh in my book classifies as a Support and he is an excelent example on how can you make a Support without heals - he has a ton of utility in Raven Form and Portals. You can help your team with vision and mobility, not just with bonus HP or damage, y'know.

People don't like playing Support, I can get behind that. You know why? Because their gameplay sucks and all the supports are pretty much the same. Other MOBAs like DotA and League have more supportive characters that create a very diverse gameplay for that role, especially League. There are a ton of supports, tanky or magey. You don't have to strap heals on and call it a day. The problem is you can strap crowd control and call it a day, but that's another LoL/DotA design issue. 

What I'm trying to say is that there is a lot more space for Support that just being a mobile Healing Fountain or a Crowd Control bot. And if you are getting paid for developing an awesome game, you can explore that fairly easy.

TL;DR Blizz add more supports pls so I can kick ass with Red Talent Kharazim without ruining the game because we have another similar guy and our healing is covered. Kappa.

ughh, would like to see more Starcraft and Overwatch characters. Diablo too. Although, I'm happy with any new addition.

Yes, a huge slap in the face. Not only did they just reskin Lost Cavern for Diablo's anniversary and call it a day, but we're getting the same class over and over. There are already more Assassins than Supports and Specialists COMBINED, and more Warcraft heroes than EVERYTHING ELSE combined, and then to top it all off, we got five of BOTH in a row. Not only that, but they thought we needed more Warcraft Assassins on Diablo's anniversary instead of a Diablo hero.

 

Another Warcraft hero? Sure, grudgingly, but sure. Another Assassin? Sure, grudgingly, but sure. Five Warcraft Assassins in a row? No, that's super excessive and pointless. We need more Supports, we need more Specialists, and throwing in another tank every once in a while would be neat. Blizz, no more damn Assassins, no more damn Warcraft heroes, and certainly not both. I'd be content never to get another Warcraft Assassin again. We have Diablo, we have StarCraft, we have Overwatch. Do something with them. I'm not even asking for something specific, just ANYTHING BUT MORE WARCRAFT ASSASSINS.

You think valeera will be another stealth character kinda like how Nova and Zeratul are? As for talk of KT that would be so fucking awesome - Death and Decay?! LOL That would be ridiculous { was a big siege ability in the original wc3 games } Bone armor? maybe? some sort of slow like a jaina? in any case HUGE hype about KT idk about valeera ...... I just hope they both come out well they're kinda just being tossed onto the table like " here's your last two heroes " ENJOY!  Also on a final note I imagine Valeera having some finisher like an execute and some ability similar to zeratul's. Lots of theories in my mind BUT HYPE

I can totally agree with you guys on the please not more Warcraft heroes damn it! And we all know we already got too many Assassins compared to the other classes. I do think however that the reason they have more Warcraft characters then any other is because of the fact that with World of Warcraft being such a massive and long standing game they have FAR more story and characters to choose from then they do from Diablo, Starcraft and Overwatch. I personally wish they had more Starcraft to pull from but that's just me loving Scifi stuff :). And all these damn assassins and they can't make one of Kyle Vlaros, The Blackthorne (from Blizzard's old Blackthorne game) instead of another damn Warcraft hero?! Damn it! Make him a hero like you did The Lost Vikings, Damn it! :p

If Blizzard does plan to add the remaining Hearthstone heroes (not including the alternate ones), then the only two remaining will be Anduin Wrynn and Garrosh Hellscream. Logically, they would be a Support (or maybe an Assassin/Support Multiclass) and a Warrior. So at least there's some hope of other roles.

I believe KT himself is a leak, so there is no 100% confirmation that he is an assassin.

Yeah, just trying to point out that everyone is upset about the warcraft assassins, trying to look on the bright side cause he may not be assassin... maybe....
