Log analysis balance druid Krosus HM

Hello,

I am underperforming and I am not sure where to prioritize my efforts. I have a simcraft capacity of 399k dps. On mannequins I can achieve 360k single target. However I am really weak in real boss encounter.

Yesterday we were on Krosus HM and I had some bad luck about the bomb (took it 3 times during the fight and during Blood lust), but even with this bad luck it seems that I am really far from performing as I am supposed to. My overall DPS is not good and my "isolated" DPS (if you only look on a time frame) is not good also.

Comparing balance guides and my stuff, I think that the problem is from my HASTE characteristic. I have a high number in mastery and not enough Haste.

Is this stat really the main problem ? If you could help me figure it out. Thank you in advance :)

Hello,

The orb of destruction clearly hurt your dps during the blood lust. Next time, be as far as possible, find way to minimize the downtime/movements.

At 00:51 until 1:00 you spent time doing ... nothing. What happened ? 9 seconds of idle time is way too much. If you're taken by surprise, remember to refresh your instant dots. However the best thing to do is to pool 40 AP, to cast starsurge in case you need to move.

You're overall CPM is around 30, way too low, it means you spend too much time doing nothing (Haste can also add to this).

Also you forgot to use a second prolonged power potion, but that's minor regarding the CPM issue.

Try to target 45 CPM. That's a flat 50% dps incease, with the same stuff same rotation.

I have struggled and still struggle to match the DSP of a fellow balance druid. My conclusion is after fixing stuff/talent/rotation issue, everything resolve around minimizing movements and downtimes.

Between 00:50 and 1:00, I guess it was to soak in the back the aoe spawning the small elementary.

Ok, I will focus on my placement and try to minimize my moves in order to improve my CPM and stack enough energy for 2 starsurges.

Follow up :
I tried to apply your advices, here is a new log on Eatraeus on HM :

My gear improved, I got 35 traits, improve my haste but still have to change my rings, got good trinkets.
Log show a better # of cast per minute but still not 45 cpm (38 currently)

Increasing CPM is by far, the hardest thing to do in this (any) game. It requires knowledge, anticipation, good interface, practice. You're improving though, keep going !
