Yuden 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 It doesn't worth using it on pure single target moments (When u got only 1 target on around 85% or more of the duration of the fight). It's not passive but I see arrows dropping out of the sky. Is that just from auto attack? In other words, I need the basic basic explanation of volley. Bladehawk 6 Report post Posted February 9, 2017 If you've taken Volley as a talent, you keep it on. Period. When it's active, every auto-shot will come with a volley of arrows. Only then will I be able to understand priorites, etc. Thanks. If you're spec'd for Volley, then the Volley button is an off/on action. It's like the pre-Legion Aspect of the Cheetah. You turn it on, you run fast, you turn it off, you don't. Same thing. Volley always procs from an auto-shot when enabled. While the auto-shot hits one target, the volley hits anything within 8 yards. You get dinged 3 focus for every auto-shot basically. Should you turn it off on single target? Cobra shot in BM is 40 focus. Not sure it's worth turning it off and on, for purely single target fights, if only for the fact that if you forget to turn it back on for AOE, that's a big DPS loss. For that Tich fight, I did 20M with Volley for 9% of my damage. Khallid 110 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Having volley on is always better than having volley off, since it deals more damage per focus than cobra shot. However, the focus cost makes your burst during Bestial Wrath slightly less efficient towards using Killer Cobra's effect, so Murder of Crows beats Volley in single target by a massive amount of damage.
