With Heroes 2.0 now live on PTR, Blizzard has published a schedule of future Hero announcements and Q/As. Even a new Nexus Challenge is coming!

Reddit Q/A about Heroes of the Storm 2.0 (April 5)

Today, details about the upcoming Q/A on reddit were unveiled. Developers will be answering any questions related to the new era of the game on April 5.

Greetings, Heroes!

To answer your questions related to the game-redefining update we're calling Heroes of the Storm 2.0, we’ll be hosting a Q&A here on r/heroesofthestorm on Wednesday, April 5 at 12:00 p.m. PDT. The following game developers will be available to answer any questions you may have about Progression, Cassia, Collections, Loadouts, or anything else Heroes of the Storm 2.0 related:

The Q&A will last roughly 2 hours, so make sure to post your questions about ranked play and live updates in the thread we’ll be creating on April 5th. We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note: We’ll also be asking players from non-English speaking communities to partake in the Q&A by submitting their questions to the Community Managers representing their regions. As such, you might see a few Blizzard Community Managers posting questions (in English) on behalf of their communities during the Q&A. Feel free to upvote those questions if you’d also like to see them answered.

I think since we are getting Genji, a new Overwatch battleground, and an Overwatch event (per the press kit leaks) we are going to get a 2nd straight Overwatch after Genji. My bet would be on Hanzo and especially D.Va.

Still, I wouldn't rule Kel'Thuzad out for the May 4th reveal. KT always has a shot of being revealed at any moment.

Stukov also has a shot too, since Stukov was teased on that Where's Waldo picture about 2 months ago.

Regardless, I think we are guaranteed a Kel'Thuzad and Stukov reveal by the end of the year.

There are always gonna be more Warcraft heroes, I think we can live with that. 

 

I'm secretly hoping for Jaraxxus, or C'Thun. HoTs always goes on about being different so what's wrong with a mass of tentacles and eyeballs xD

if it is OverWatch it makes sense since there aren't any battlegrounds for that (hoping OW new battleground for music) and they need more heroes. Though if they do a copy and paste of Genji (don't really know what D.Va can do) I wonder what he'd be like (thinking about Deflect, it could some thing as "Protected from basic attacks and reflect the damage you would take from them" or "f*ck Kael'thas' Pyroblast back at him" xD)

But I wonder, is the Launch Event on the 18th the actual patch launch or is it something on HoTs 1.0 to fluff up the event...

It is nice to see, that the change is implemented so soon. About May 4 hero, well hope this is not an assassin.. Universe well does not matter as long as it will be somehow relevant to the game.

If the new hero could be anything else, they could give us Emperor Tomator from The Lost Vikings, or even Blackthorne himself. We need more Blizzard Classics.

inb4 Blizzard adds a car from Rock'n'Roll Racing as a specialist. But yeah, more characters from classics would be nice, even though I'm not sure many players would be able to relate to the new character, which is why Warcraft is the most used franchise for heroes.

They don't have to relate. In Super Smash Bros., for example, you have obscure characters like Captain Falcon, and Nintendo classics such as Mr. Game & Watch, Duck Hunt and even freaking R.O.B., and people love them all.

This proves that a character doesn't have to be instantly recognizable and famous to be loved. If anything, their presence would actually make people interested in playing their original games.

I actually downloaded a SNES emulator and played The Lost Vikings again, after over 10 years, just because they were added to Heroes of the Storm. They are my favorite hero(es) because of their lines and design (too bad I suck using them).

Upcoming AssassinS, yes. Apparently it's Genji, because after apologizing for giving us so many Assassins in a row, the best course of action is to give us two non-Assassin heroes, then start dumping Assassins into our laps again. #ForeverAssassinsOfTheStorm

Diablo has 3 races, humans, demons, angels

Starcraft has 3 races, terran, zerg, protoss

overwatch has 2 races, robots and humans (and yes there is ones like winston but i mean... hes a monkey)

wow has how many races, and how much lore?

you have to understand wow is their biggest game charecter wise, it has so many charecters ,so many races, so much lore to pull from, it will allways be their biggest beast

Yeah, I see your point. I don't mind having more Warcraft characters. Once (if) they release all possible characters for the other franchises, there will still be a plethora of Warcraft characters anyway.

Even if that were a legitimate argument, they can split them up instead of giving us so many in a row, let alone all of the same class. I wouldn't mind so much if they gave us Specialists and Supports, hell, even tanks, but they're dumping ASSASSINS on us in huge clumps. Not just Assassins, but WARCRAFT ASSASSINS. After the amount of Warcraft Assassins we've been getting, I want neither.

 

PS: Zul'Jin is the worst Diablo hero.

I'm hoping we get either a demon or Old God, but as far as i know neither C'Thun nor Jaraxxus are actually the most important characters of their respective factions. If my WoW lore doesn't betray me, Jaraxxus is just a lesser demonlord and not an important character for storyline at all. What comes to C'Thun, yes he actually has a big role in WoW lore, but Yogg-Saron arguably has bigger and thus wouldn't be surprised to see him over C'Thun. Still when it comes to new heroes, I would just be glad to get Old God or WoW demon and wouldn't whine about getting a lesser character over more important one.

Ah cool, I didn't actually know that about them, the only reason I know their names are from Hearthstone (never played WoW xD) But now that I think about it, Yogg would be quite awesome too. Whatever they do decide, at the end of the day they still have a humongous pool in WoW to choose from, so hopefully they'll do something like they did at Christmas with Rag and give someone very significant from WoW

      The quest collection requirement for The Regeneration Master Talent has been reduced from 30 to 25. Heroes

      Base
      Basic Attack damage increased from 150 to 160. Lightning Surge [E] Healing increased from 70 to 75. Telekinesis [W] Knockback speed now slows down over the duration of the knockback. Push-to-point distance increased from 6.25 from where Telekinesis was targeted to 12.5. Talents
      Level 1 Overwhelming Power REWORK: Healing reduced from 50% to 15% of damage dealt. REWORK: Percent of damage converted to Healing is now increased by 50% of Sadism's bonus when attacking Heroes (For example: At 100% Sadism, this will be 65% of damage dealt). Level 7 Applied Force Now pushes targets 15% further. Level 20 Counter-Strike Talent Removed. Deadly Charge Talent Removed.       Blizzard is celebrating ten years of Heroes of the Storm by making all Heroes free-to-play until June 15 and releasing a special Gear Head Thrall skin!

      Ten years ago, the Nexus opened a realm between realms…where anything is possible. Over the years, you have braved this tumultuous universe, commanding some of the most legendary Heroes from across Azeroth, Sanctuary, the Koprulu sector, and future Earth. 

      It’s this community that has made Heroes of the Storm so special, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone alongside you. From now until the next patch on June 15, all Heroes will be free! Plus, everyone who logs in during this time will receive two brand-new portraits to showcase their time battling across the Nexus.       We’re also excited to release a never-before-seen skin into the shop! In honor of Heroes of the Storm’s 10th anniversary, as well as Warcraft’s 30th, what better Hero skin to release from the vault than the one and only Thrall? Gear Head Thrall is now available through the in-game shop for 1500 Gems. And keep your eyes peeled—the Classic Games team is combing through the archives, searching for unreleased skins that would need some finishing touches for release, possibly bringing us more in the future.
