Need help with my Survival Hunter

Hey everybody.

 

I need some serious help with my hunter. It's in survival spec and its doing way too little DPs than he should be doing (roughly 70-80k average DPs per current fight).

Could anybody help me with optimizing my class to increase its performence please cause I am totally confused to what I am doing wrong and all feedback will be helpful?

You're still a little low on expertise (try to get that to 7.5% - use Ask Mr. Robot) and you're missing your sha gem on your weapon but I can understand that if you haven't progressed that far in the legendary quest line yet.  I don't see anything obviously wrong with your equipment/talents so I've got to assume that your issue is with your rotation.

 

Are you keeping serpent sting & black arrow at close to 100% up time?  Are you hitting CD's appropriately?  Are you frequently focus starved (when explosive shot is up) or capped?

 

If you can replace that weapon with a ToT weapon, even LFR would be a big upgrade you'll find your DPS jump significantly.  Go buy some Mogu Runes of Fate from Timeless Isle for 1000 coins per and run ToT LFR using the bonus coins on Tortos, Durumu, and Iron Qon.

I do need to do some reforging Especially for my hit cap which i cant find a way to bring it down to 7.5 :(

The Sha-touched Gem, I'm not so far from the quest chain to get it now :)

from time to time i do get focus starved but i never let my focus go up to 100 (normally make it go to 80-90 max). I use black arrow as soon as it becomes available as well as Explosive shot (especiallu during lock-and-load) and I keep track of my Dot's with Weak Auras (along with explosive shot, Black Arrow, scatter shot and concussive shot( I also use Tell me when along with Omnicc to keep track of my cooldowns. My rotation is similar to the guide found here on Icy-Veins.

My CD's are in a macro for my burst which consists of Stampede with Rapid fire (use to be more but now Readiness is removed). and then cast murder of crows and Dire beast (if its available) (going to start using potions along with it as I will be doing Raids).

I've being trying to replace the weapon for months now with at least a 502 but I had no luck with getting one, even with charms which really sucks lol.

I recommend using fervor over dire beast as the focus regen from it is not stated and during dry periods you can juse use fervor. Personally i wouldn't track scatteror concussive shot unless you pvp frequently as they dont have much use in Pve.  Always have at least 30 focus so you can use explosive shot off cooldown. If lock and load procs you need to use it asap. Because if I remember it correctly the proc itself has a 10 cooldown so you have to consume so you can get more. Delaying abilities like that can add up and potentially 5-10k dps.
