I will probably switch back once I'm pushing higher rifts but wanted to share this info.

This is the key. At high rifts, yeah, you need the Brittle on your bars. They'll fire them as well.

Looking again at the speed farming variant, we show an equipped in-geom as well as recommendations to cube it instead of Shadowhook.  Does this mean we should look at he original build and we should actually be cubing Corroded Fang?  Should we actually be cubing shadow hook after all?  Or is there some other recommendation that would be best suited to the speed farming build?  I haven't found any of the options I've tried to be wowing, so I'd prefer a recommendation.  Thanks!

You should be cubing Nayr's Black Death - it's an error. I'll get Deadset to update.

I was wondering how CDR proc effects work. For example the Borrowed Time rune effect on Decrepify, does it make it so we should snapshot our Land of the Dead + Simu when we get 20 stacks of it or does it mean we should keep a high uptime of the curse for the CDR while it's recovering? (Basically, does it snapshot or update in real-time) I could not find info on this through google.

This build doesn't make sense to me. What am I missing? I run into a room - have no corpses and can't kill anything or even open a door without a corpse. I need something to start the killing and I need something to wreck barriers and open doors.  I use pestilence. I am thinking of switching to a variant. It is really odd to sit in a room and get killed by trash because you have no corpses.  Once LOTD opens up I can kill but what about all the other time and when you start?

Yes, it snapshots.

This is the playstyle of the Lance builds. It's why so many people hate the build. You are completely useless outside of Land of the Dead, so you have to maximise CDR on the gear. You will enter a rift and only hunt elites, nothing else. You are useless at killing trash. Simply get into the right and use Blood Rush to hunt an elite. Make sure you use Decrepify on mobs you pass to increase your CDR. As soon as you find an elite, pop Land of the Dead and Simulacrum, burst down the elite and keep using Corpse Lance until all corpses are consumed after Land of the Dead. Use Decrepify on mobs, Blood Rush until you find the next elite and then do the same thing. You continue to do this until you clear the rift.

It's a very strange playstyle, but it's incredibly effective when done well. It's all about avoiding damage and picking your fights. Also knowing when you can/can't kill an elite (Juggernaughts are hard, so are 4-5 pack rares).

Doors are a massive hinderence for some builds and this is definitly one of them.

What you do regarding doors when you just run around is that you Blood RushBlood Rush once and lance the door since you get a corpse from a rune whenever you dash.

A note on this - with the Pestilence set especially, you can mess things up for yourself if you are using the NumLock trick for Devour. It will instantly devour the corpse and you likely won't hit the door.

Yeah that is one of the reasons I don't use that trick at all. I don't mind spamming it ^^

I normally find you don't even need to have anything NumLock-ed on Necro, it only ever is really needed on things like EB Wizard or something. I spam it as well :p

What about Ancient Parthan Defenders for Grifts?

While there is nothing wrong with that you won't be getting much use from it sadly.

Since you only recieve the damage reduction from incapacitated monsters you will only benefit when using  Frozen LandsFrozen Lands but at that point you are killing everything you need to get down before it's able to hit you anyway so in that regard I wouldn't recommend it.

If you want to make a Trag'Oul speedfarming build - forget about Corpse Lance it is not worth it.

What you want to do is the following;
LMB: Bone Armor - Harvest of Anguish (speed + dmg reduction)
RMB: Death Nova - Blood Nova (dmg synergy with Trag'Oul Set)

1: Devour - Cannibalize (regain hp as you kill, can use numlock trick)
2: Land of the Dead (Emergency HP regen skill to work with Devour)
3: Frailty - Aura of Frailty
4: Blood Rush - No runes (get all from set)

Talents:
1. Malediction - More damage.
2. Dark Reaping - Better HP/Essence management.
3. Stand Alone - Damage reduction.
4. Fueled by Death - Speed.

Easy and mindless build.

Just tried this out - garbage. Not enough damage to do regular rifts on torrent 13.

Is there a proven better way to throw corpse lances at a boss as a boss killer, e.g. does one way do more damage than the others?

The different ways, once Simulacrum and LoD are cast, with boss selected:

1. Devour (Num Lock lock.)

2. Devour (Num Lock) + continuous press on Corpse Lance key

3. Devour (Num Lock) + spamming Corpse Lance key

4. Spamming devour key

5. Spamming devour key + continuous press on Corpse Lance key

6. Spamming devour key + spamming Corpse lance key

7. Continuous press on devour - does this even work

8. Other ?

I remember having heard somewhere that a triple bonus is not activated while using some of those key combinations, but I remember neither with combination nor where I heard it.

I'm getting all the pieces put together for this build. Thing is, I'm on hardcore and was curious if there is any gear modifications I'd need to make, like switching out a certain gem or ring or something for better survivability in hc. Thanks for any tips :)

imo you should replace CoE with unity. defenetly a hard build, and you should go slow. unless you have perfect items you should skip this setup and go for a more safer one.

Question about the legendary gems, how about swapping BoT or even the MWG for GoS for even more CDR?

Weird question but... what potion would be best with this build? Bottomless potion of the diamond (Resist all - 100 max) or of the tower (Armour +20% max). I see this build is armour oriented? Or are the others, better?

Nemesis >> Reaper's, Devour >>Bone Spear, Borrowed Time >> Dizzying Curse, Molten Beest >> Gogok, and Spreading Malediction >> Life From Death. I don't know why you would be spamming Devour when you can just get DOUBLE Corpse Lances from spamming Lance, get the Bone Spear massive damage (3300%), be able to attack without corpses (Spear), get tons of globes = Essence, proc Krysbin's always AND double your rate of gaining Pestilence DR stacks. Sure this build probably has the math to do the greatest burst damage, but I can still get phat bursts with the Krysbin's guaranteed proc from Dizzying Curse (20% CDR is only 24 sec off of LoTD), with a chance for 300% from stun.  Add in a Cord of Sherma (blind proc Krysbin's for 300%) and vacuuming health from Simulacrum >> Siphon/Sucker for smooth cruising. Or, if you miss the Simulacrum damage, use Siphon/Power Shift which probably gives you more damage % increase anyway (Last I checked 100% @ 10 stacks is better than .5*100 points = 50%) and gives you Health and Essence. I dunno maybe Reilena's is multiplicative and Power Shift is additive. Seems like this build will get killed in most GR and needs a very specific scenario to be successful. I prefer a build that is more flexible/survivable and can deal good burst damage.

I don't really understand what you're trying to do here, you seem to have wanted to shoehorn bone spear into this build where it doesn't fit at all. Your bone spear damage will go from basically 0 to just very low, at the cost of removing 50% damage reduction, the extra elites from the nemesis bracers, 20% cdr, 50% of your essence and basically all your health sustain.

So i see nobody asked this question, Why in the world are you using Reservoir for simulacrum? Its pretty uesless because i tested WITHOUT Reservoir and i literally never ran out of Essence. Is there some benefit im not understand? Because the Simulacrum doesnt copy your corpse lances, Only secondary abilities.

Your cube wep gets 0,5% dmg increase  per essence. thats why.

A brand new season arrives in Diablo 3 next month! Blizzard have the full preview ready so let's take a look at the cosmetic rewards, season journey, Haedrig's Gift sets, and more!
      Season 33 (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem. Starting on October 25 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Shades of the Nephalem theme, which first debuted with Season 22. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 32 will officially come to an end on October 20. Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Patch 2.7.8
      Season Theme
The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five: Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a Level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at Level 70 in under fifteen seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a Level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works: Completing Acts II, III, and IV of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely! The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 33: Barbarian - Might of the Earth Crusader - Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter - The Shadow's Mantle Monk - Monkey King's Garb Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard - Firebird's Finery Necromancer - Grace of Inarius Return to Top Patch 2.7.8
Our next patch goes live on October 22 and introduces quality-of-life updates for demon slayers on Mac. New Mac Executables/Mac Native Silicon and Intel: These updates will allow Diablo III to run on new versions of the macOS. PC Experience Stability: This PTR is open to both Mac and PC players. While the focal point of the 2.7.8 PTR is to test technical updates for Mac, we want PC users to monitor their playing experience as well. Season 32 of Diablo 3, Ethereal Memory, will go live later today, and we have prepared a list of various useful and updated guides to help you get started!
The Season of Ethereal Memory will start later today at 5 p.m. PDT (NA Servers), 5 p.m. CEST (EU Servers), and 5 p.m. KST (Asian Servers). The theme of Season 32 was first introduced with Season 24 and is now back for another round!
      What are Ethereal Memories?
The theme of the season reintroduces the Ethereals, which are rare and powerful items known from Diablo II and reimagined for Diablo III. You will be able to hunt for all 21 iconic weapons of Diablo 2 during the season, but this time they will be harder to find and will only drop in Ancient or Primal rarity!

To help you with the start of this new season, our team has been busy updating all of our Diablo 3 guides to reflect all the changes ahead of the season launch. You can find our Season 32 Hub, as well as guides for leveling, the season mechanic, rankings, season start guides for each class, and even conquest guides, in the list below.
General Season Guides Our Season 32 guides include all the information you need to know, from Haedrig's Gift sets to SSF and season mechanic explanations:
Seasonal Leveling Guide Season 32 Compendium Ethereal Memories Solo Self-Found Mode (SSF) Leveling Guides
We have you covered with our updated leveling guidelines, regardless of the class you want to play!
Barbarian Season Start Crusader Season Start DH Season Start Monk Season Start Necromancer Season Start Witch Doctor Season Start Wizard Season Start Season 32 Conquest Guides
Finally, if you need help completing any of the season's conquests, we recommend you check out our individual guides listed below:
Curses! Divinity  Years of War Masters of the Universe Boss Mode Season 32 Cosmetic Rewards
Previous season items make their return this season. If you missed out on rewards originally available in Season 8, you will be able to get them this time. Furthermore, the end of journey rewards (originally introduced in Season 17) are back: The Teganze Warrior portrait frame and the Bat pet!

As an interesting side note, the portrait frame you can earn this season is named after Teganze, a zone that was first introduced in Diablo 2 and will be revisited during our journey in the upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred!

Season 32 in Diablo 3 starts on July 12 and here is the official preview with more details.
      (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 32: Ethereal Memory. Starting on July 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Ethereal Memory theme, which first debuted with Season 24. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below.

      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
As the Nephalem reflect on Sanctuary's history, instruments of power from a bygone era resurface. These ethereal memories will grant those persistent enough to search for them unimaginable power. Legends of the past will manifest once more in the present, and you must decide how to best use these gifts—for ethereal power is fugacious by nature, and will soon return to being no more than a myth.
For this seasonal theme, we were inspired to reimagine how Ethereal items could manifest in Diablo III, with 21 iconic weapons making a return from Diablo II. In Season 32, Ethereals are rare, powerful, and fleeting items.
Season 32 reintroduces Ethereals, a weapon-type that players will be able to acquire and hunt for in their upcoming seasonal journey. Ethereals will roll a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power. Ethereals will have unique icons, names, item types, and sounds originally found in Diablo II. For additional details on Ethereals, check out the list below:
Ethereals are account bound and can only be dropped by monsters, chests, and destructibles, but do not require your character to be Level 70 in order to drop. Ethereals cannot be acquired through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala. Ethereal rarity drop rate is set between Ancient and Primal items. There are 3 unique Ethereals per class. Each Ethereal has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill. Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time. Ethereals ignore item durability loss. Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items or Skills. Ethereals cannot be Enchanted, Transmogrified, Dyed, Reforged, or traded. Ethereals can be augmented. Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection. Players who accomplish this will have all Ethereal transmogrify options available for future seasonal and non-seasonal play. Ethereals only drop in Seasonal play and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends. Return to Top
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to players who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 32, this means awards originally available from Season 8 are returning to the Season Journey.

However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Feast your eyes upon the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet!

In addition to the Boots and Pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn a series of portrait frames that smolder with demonic fires of the Burning Hells. The iconic wings of Andariel will also be available once more, allowing you to truly embrace your inner Maiden of Anguish.

      Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey (courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift) have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 32:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call Crusader – Seeker of the Light Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
