Cube: Sycthe of the Circle ( BECAUSE OF BONE ARMOR +300% DPS WAY BETTER THAN THE OTHER SCYCLE THAT ONLY GIVES YOU 150% IF YOU ARE FULL MANA)

This is wrong,

 - first the 300% bonus only work for Secondary Skills (ie: Bone Lance, Skel Mages and Death Nova)

 - second the other Scythe give you dmg bonus based on MAX essences not your currents essences meaning you will always have that bonus

Here your Scythe or the Circle is useless you dont even use secondary skill. Just wante dto point you that.

This build should get updated. You want to use "Bone Armor - Thy Flesh Sustained" and Gizzard legendary gem. It gives you 30% damage reduction and crazy healing per second. Devour and Blood Rush should be removed for above mentioned ability and "Frailty - Scent of blood" or Simulacrum if you prefer that.

Hello guys, i have a question regarding Necromancer Rathma Set.

The first set option for 2 set pieces says :"Your minions have a CHANCE to reduce the cooldown of Army of the Dead by 1 second each time they deal damage".

This is PURE bullshit. Why do Blizzard do things like this?

Do i understand that word "chance" as 5%? or maybe 95%? or maybe -21231^8%? Huh? Is it so hard to put exact number?
But to the point. The % for this option seems to be very low. It was so low that when i went to the Set Dungeon for Rathma Set i had to seriously CRIPLE my build (lowering dmg, unequipping some items) in order to let my minions proc this option to get those 500 cooldown seconds.

Because with proper build equipped when i finished killing all i had like 230s/500s.

Could someone make a pestilence build? I see all the other builds but not that. If you could that would help. Thank you

Seems to be almost 100%. But it really doesnt matter because Army of the Dead is a garbage ability that no one uses with Rathma anyway.

The reason there are no Pestilence set right now is because it's the worst set by far. Blizzard has mentioned themselves that they will change/buff it in the future (not before season starts though).

My current issue with this build in question is its lack of taking full advantage of Rathma's, Completely ignoring 2 of the set bonuses. I DO understand why, Because most of the Army of the Dead runes are underwhelming, But im currently working on a personal build that capitalizes on the "Army of the Dead" Part. Deadset, What is your opinion on using Army of the Dead with Fates Vow in the cube in this build? when combined with Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac and Bone Armor ive been getting some pretty good cooldown resets. I still need to get the Skeletal Mage ring to see if i can get some good numbers out damage wise because it appears as if the skeletal mages buff each others damage, Seeing as they also still count as minions.

During the beta I had a similar build but with more pets (28 when all active) and a 3 point synergy between the belt, bracers, and the passive that spawns health globes.

Was hoping for any potential advice or any thoughts about the current build

That's the build i have been running as of late.
D3Planner
It has been pretty easy to get into the higher GRs. Hitting 85 soon (without any great gear or gems).

At the start i generally use the Simulacrum to get a few Skeletal Mages out fast. Since it S. doubles your Essence with the right rune and you also get another damage bonus from the cubes Reilena's.

It's easy to maintain max Essence once you get a decent rift and get into a certain flow. You'll have 8 or even 10 fully buffed Skeletal Mages up and running all the time, thanks to Reaper's Wraps.

The only thing you really  have to look out for is maintaining your Decrepify and Command Skeleton's.

If the Rift Guardian is around the corner you might want to save your use of Simulacrum, because it will usually melt the guy in seconds.

One thing i would like to mention about this build (*the guide does mention this already in the build page) but i notice many people still not using it; first off if you make skeleton mage build Reilena's Shadowhook is the ONLY answer. this because its sharing benefit with your singularity (skeleton mages) rune, YOU MUST ADD THE 50 POINTS to Max Essence in your Paragon Chart, this guide already says this its more important than int Singularity rune 3% *50 150 and another 25% added to Reilena's Shadowhook damage bonus.

https://www.d3planner.com/379063255 <.< Current the one on this guide is way to squishy for my game play habits you want attack speed on both rings and weapon to hit 35 Frames for Bone Spikes.

Esoteric Alteration | Bane of the Stricken |  Zei's Stone of Vengeance

2.6 Patch

Zei's Stone of Vengeance

  • When a pet deals damage with this gem equipped, bonuses are now always granted from the player to the enemy hit instead of from the pet to the enemy.

Guest Question

I thought that attack speed rolls cannot increase pet attack speed but instead increased their damage per hit, and only special modifiers like Tasker and Theo increased pet attack speed. So shouldn't areas damage be rolled instead?

The skills proposed are complete shit. Why would you neglect using army of the dead, which is the core idea behind the set and replace it with Land of the Dead?

Icy Veins, get your shit together plz.

Sorry to say but no one is using Army because it's not viable in any build right now. The CD is way too long for a low total damage output. The reason behind using Land of the Dead instead is to supply you with a ton more essence for elites and bosses to keep spamming out huge singularity mages which is netting more damage and more consistent play than the Army.

The sets core mechanic isn't the Army skill, it is about minions dealing more damage based on skeletal mages which is a lot more important.

For a hardcore player, wouldn't Blood Rush fit better in the build than Land of the Dead, in order to avoid the affixes when you get walled/jailed ? Or is LotD so good than you can stun/kill all the elites before they spam affixes ?

One thing is confusing me and that's the weapon choice that is picked for the cube.

If we're using the Decrepify curse, wouldn't using Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang be better, as it offers 200% extra damage to cursed enemies? I'm trying to understand why you would use Reilena's Shadowhook in the cube over Trag. Even with 100 extra Essence that's only 50% extra damage compared to Trag's 200%.

I also speculated if its to help with essence generation. Singularity for skeleton mages means mages get 3% extra damage for the essence consumed, but if you DID have 100 maximum essence and you were casting skeleton mages consistently at around 75% essence with say 300 total essence, again you're looking at a 50% base damage bonus, and like a 150% bonus damage just for your mages, where is Trags is just a consistent 200% to all your abilities, meaning command skeleton isn't going to benefit from this as much.

Also for the season I can't really invest into maximum essence in paragon so the default choice seems to be trags. Just wanted some 2nd opinions on this or if I'm completely missing something here.

I'm personally a fan of the Corroded fan and feel it's even bit too powerful so I've been using that instead myself. The only thing I could imagin being off here is if possibly the Reilena's is multiplicative bonus while Corroded Fang is addative.

Also it matters when the bonus is applied which is difficult to say without testing or a developer confirming. The reason Bane of the Trapped is so powerful is not just because it's straight up great in % boost but it is applied as multiplicative damage after everything else is calculated.

So in conclusion, the numbers themselves could be tricky since if a 200% bonus is applied early in the chain or not multiplicative it could be worse as a result when all the "math" is done. I've not been able to test all of this due to me being away on vacation *sniff*

I also have a question about Jesseth Shield, what stats do you want on the shield? Is armor better than chance to block or is chance to block more desirable?

People wailing on the build for not using 2 set don't understand how bad that skill performs.
Secondly singularity mages do a lot of damage and with the ring to cast 2 at a time it's easy to keep 4 of them up which gives full damage bonus for the 6 piece.

The shields most helpful attributes is just as the guide is pointing out with Int -> Crit Chance -> Vitality -> Damage vs Elites in that order so both armor and block is far from priority.

However if you have all of the above and want to roll Armor will always win over Block Chance since Armor is damage reduction and will help regardless if you blocked or not. All Intelligence characters suffer bit in armor over all anyway.

Why are we using Land of the Dead exactly? Cheap CC? Why not use Army of the Dead with a cold rune (if that's a thing)? Because of the 6pc set bonus wouldn't it make more sense to get CC from there since AotD is constantly being refreshed by skeleton hits? I feel like we'd get a little more mileage out of that ability. Just my thoughts. Thanks.

Frozen Army is the rune for AotD that I was thinking of. Does it still have a chance to slow since the damage would then be Cold, or do we just get no CC from that at all. Even still, would there be a better rune to utilize since it would be up much faster and more often than LotD? /edit

What would be the alaternative to Zei gem? I am running GR~80 quite comfortably, but I cant seem to utilize the ranged bonus in most situations.

Also, the strange thing is that I am unable to solo speedfarm T13 with the variation, even though I reached GR80. I seem to lack damage vs elites. Any thoughts/advice?

Thanks

Blizzard have moved the launch of Season 34 back a week!
While it was supposed to start today, Blizzard cite players not wanting the new D3 and D4 season launches to overlap on the same week, and needing more time to get the season properly set up, as the previous one ended early.
      Season 34 Delay (Source)
      Hi all
We have shifted the start for the new season of Diablo III to next week. This is due to a few items:
We received a good amount of feedback that many didn’t want overlap with the first weekend of Diablo IV’s new season. We agree so we are building out that gap and will be more mindful of that going forward.
This will help us properly ensure account states migrate over as we had an issue with the prior season rolling early and us having to kick things back on.
You can find the exact times on our Season 34 blog.

The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown—an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Go forth, Nephalem!
Season 34 reintroduces Light’s Calling. Valiant Nephalem who recover Angelic Crucibles, a new consumable item, may use them to Sanctify any equippable Legendary item, infusing it with one of three new class-specific powers at random. The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. In this season, Haedrig's Gift will grant all-new class sets introduced with previous Seasons.

It seems something went very wrong with Season 33, as it it just... ended a while ago. Players took to the forums as there was no early warning, other than a server message around an hour before it all ended. PezRadar responded clarifying that this is not intended and that Blizzard are looking into what happened.
      Season End (Source)
Heard and got some pings while I’ve been out and I have production checking on this early end. This shouldn’t have ended today so something is funky. Will provide an update once I hear back.
