Lacks DPS drood balance

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I know that this is the kind of topic that are created everyday, but I wasnt able to find the answer I was looking for, so I decided to create an account to ask you guys some questions.

I am currently playing drood balance, its new to me, but I am not new to the game, I made some nice achievements last year with my guild. I am not a really good player but I am definitly not the worst one.

Here is what bothers me: I LACKS DPS so much. I mean, im 907 ilvl now. Some stats are bad, I have 2 PVP trinkets only one legendary(not a good one) and miss the last legendary weapon trait ...But I dont think this can explain why, while training on the dummy?(I dont know if its the good word) I only have like 550000 Dps during a 3 minute session. I was not fully optimised (enchants and gems), maybe U can add 50 k dps if you like.

Also, I know how to use my spells, I mean, its not the hardest rotation I saw...

So what I would like to know is can the stats, the bad leg, the bad trinkets and the last talent can explain all this or not? I am starting to be a bit worried and I dont understand What I do wrong if I do... Here is my character page if you want https://worldofwarcraft.com/fr-fr/character/archimonde/hashanou

Thank you all for your help, I am waiting for your kind advices :)

I'm not a normal here, but as a current balance druid stat optimizations and good legendaries can make a huge difference in dps. I am 901 ilvl with 2 good leggies and good stat optimizations and i pull around 700-800k dps. This is missing 7 traits as well.

Dummy DPS is best used for the purposes of practicing your rotation, and comparing gear for optimization. Not so much as a measure of performance. So that's the first thing. Second thing, Balance has always been about executing the beginning of the fight and maximizing your cooldown windows, but that's not really the case in Legion. It's a spec that requires continual maintenance and careful balancing of multiple resources, plus the two DoTs that you have available by default. These are some of the common issues:

1) Don't use Incarnation before the pull, that is a mistake. Use it after you apply Sunfire and Moonfire. There is no more DoT snapshot for Balance.

2) Sitting on 3 charges of New Moon. You should spend charges as they are available, unless you are about to have Incarnation available.

3) Letting DoTs drop off. Track them and keep them up on all targets that are in range.

4) Over-capping on Astral Power. Always make sure to spend it either on Starsurge or Starfall depending on the situation.

5) Over-capping on Lunar or Solar Empowerment. This will happen more often with Lunar. Spend that third charge before you use Starsurge again. However, if you have to choose between over-capping Astral Power or wasting a Lunar Empowerment (rare), use Starsurge and waste the empowerment.

Hey there, a bit late but thank you to your answers. I noticed that the legs are really important. I found the 4th better apparently and it made a huge difference. Also the sets seems to make a difference for balance druid. I used ask mr robot to look for bis and this kind of thing, do you think its a good simulator guys(especially for gems and enchants, sometimes it differs from icy veins)
Also thank you for you advices, I must confess I made one of  your "common mistakes" :p, I will try to apply that the next time I train on dumies :p.

My DPS is terrible.. I am lucky if I come in above the heals...  I follow rotation, and build from Icy Veins and have decent gear and 1 legendary (head.)

I am sooooo confused..  :(

Raid/Class Spots Are Open To Any Applicant If The Player Is The Right Fit
A guild formed with an ambition for progression and a love for M+ we decided to make the move from Silvermoon Alliance and form a guild to take our focus to the next level, Cutting Edge in 10.1 being the next step.
We believe in building a guild by recruit players of a similar goal and mentality whether it be for raiding or for push score in Mythic plus. We value loyalty, honesty and a positive attitude towards setbacks. Communication skills are an absolute must.
      Raid Schedule
      Wednesday 20:30-23:00 Sunday 20:30-23:00
      Current Progression
      9/9HC 5/9M
What are we looking for recruitment wise?
We're currently open to recruiting DPS classes listed above, as we aim to solidify a stable 25-player roster. We're looking to provide competition to existing members and choose the best 25 players to proceed with for next tier.
      Contact Information:
      Discord; tomsen and lora1506
Think you'd be a good fit?
If you believe that you are a player that is looking to achieve the same goals as us then why not contact us and see if we can achieve our goals together!

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes.
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30PM to 8:30PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.
We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a *filtered*, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing. You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights.  Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://gow.gg/fun-is-for-casuals under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.

Welcome Adventurers! The time has come upon us, FINALLY! The moment in Classic WoW history us diehard, loyal WoW nerds have all been waiting for. WRATH CLASSIC! Arthas Did Nothing Wrong (ADNW) has just begun recruiting (For WotLK Classic) hard-core, casual, rp, pvp, pve, raiders, anything you can think of, you are welcomed here. Although our main focus in ADNW will be progressive raiding, 10 and 25 man and pvp content, we look to have someone for just about anything. Currently we are recruiting for our CORE 10M team composed entirely of irl / internet homies. We are in need of just 1 HEALER (Highly prefer a disc priest with a shadow off spec) and another DPS. Preferably lock or Shadow priest. We are looking to fill our B 10m team entirely, so we can pool together for 25 man’s when it comes time to crush 25m. This guild was founded by a group of tight nit friends recently, who have been around since TBC. WOTLK was our turning point in WoW, and we CANNOT wait to get another crack at this and MAKE IT RIGHT. Come join the adventure of a chill environment full of helpful hands and knowledge. Feel free to reach out to me Via Discord: Daevilmonkiexp#9239 OR Bnet: Daevilmonkie#1280 just let me know you are interested in the guild and we can have a convo! ARTHAS DID NOTHING WRONG!

      Hi Team
I am recently returning from a few years away from the game and I have decided to go back to my much loved main throughout wrath, the feral druid. I have always been a cut above the rest and managed to be top dps all through wrath.
I was reading your guide and noticed in the talents you don't take savage roar. Can you explain the match behind this as to me it seems like the more viable option.
