Hello, this is actually more of a question regarding AMR's optimization rather than about the spec itself. I was looking at AMR just to see what sorts of gems it recommends for my gear and it has been throwing pure agi gems left and right. I have read just about everywhere that you should avoid pure gems like that and go for hybrids instead. So I am totally confused. Should I be going for pure agi gems (since agility adds to crit) or would I be better off going with hybrids in my red/prismatic sockets instead?

Agi is (almost) always > secondary stats. So in any red sockets you definitely would want to use pure Agi gems. Check out the guide for SV here on Icy Veins and you'll see why.

Technically you have to use an actual character sim rather than an approximation which AMR is. So FemaleDwarf is your best bet.

 

That said AMR is "generally" right and so trusting it wont lose you too much dps even if it isn't quite right.

 

The majority of your set bonuses I would guess aren't worth the loss in Agility.

 

For me, Agility = 6.2dps while crit = 2.45 dps. So on a 1:2 relative ratio, agility is still better than 2 points of crit (the best secondary stat for my survival spec.)

 

You can use FemaleDwarf to find out your own values and then adjust AMR to compensate, and it will optimise your chara using the newly imported data.
