gurupak 21 Report post Posted October 18, 2017 Hi, How does the artifact level increase in patch 7.3? Someone told me we have to increase the iLvl of relic and put it in the weapon slot to increase the level? Is that right? If i am not doing any high end raids and mythic + how can i increase it then? On one of my character i had all 895 relics and artifact level was 57 and then i purchased the 910 relics and it remained still same 57 level after socket. Don't understand why it didn't increase. Any help please. Best regards, Irfan

Can you take a screenshot of the relics you have in your weapon? Have you put them into the weapon in the right slot?
AartS 14 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 I think you are mixing the artifact itemlevel with the artifact "Artifact Power level". Your artifact ilvl can be seen on your Character page. Your artifact power level can be seen by shift+clicking on your artifact (in the menu where you choose traits after using AP tokens). My guess: your ilvl is 910+ and your artifactlevel is 57 (indicating the amount of traits purchased)
Allseye 96 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 Hi gurupak There are some different terms relating to artifact: Artifact itemlevel: The itemlevel is based on your relicts you put into the sockets. The higher your relicts, the higher your artifact itemlevel -> weapon gets stronger Artifact powerlevel: With artifact power, you're increasing the power level. This leads to more points you can invest into your artifact-traits. Artifact knowledge: This defines how much more artifact power you earn from the artifact tokens. At the moment, artifact knowledge gets increased each weak automatically for everyone. Does this help?
gurupak 21 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 Thanks guys for your replies. I am talking about the Artifact powerlevel, which is used in the netherlight crucible to get new tiers. Quote http://www.wowhead.com/news=268045/netherlight-crucible-and-relic-customization-in-patch-7-3 To unlock Tier 2 and Tier 3, your Artifact must have a certain number of Artifact Traits unlocked, so this serves as a secondary bonus to putting more points into Concordance of the Legionfall. There are no additional forms of currency needed to spend on a trait: First Relic: Tier 2 at 60, Tier 3 at 69 Second Relic: Tier 2 at 63, Tier 3 at 72 Third Relic: Tier 2 at 66, Tier 3 at 75 Does it mean i have to put artifact power in the Concordance of Legionfall, and then I can use the tier 2 tier 3 in netherlight crucible? Let me know if I am right... Thanks again.
Allseye 96 Report post Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) Exactly :-). You use artifact-power tokens to fill the "exp-bar" of your artifact. If the bar is full, you can spend a point in a trait (at higher lvl you can just put it into concordance). With each point spent, your artifact powerlevel increases by 1. If you're at the crucible, hover over the relic-traits. You will have an information which artifact powerlevel you need to unlock this tier. Got it or is there anything else you like to know? Sorry to bother you again @Allseye, this points is not clear to me, do you mean i keep adding powerlevel in concordance, and when it will reach at level 60, i will be able to use the tier 2 trait in crucible? Exactly :-). At powerlevel 60 (of your artifact, not corcodance), you can use choose a tier 2 trait for your first relict. At powerlevel 63, tier 2 trait of your second relict. It goes on how you quoted in your post: powerlevel relictslot unlocked tier 60 1 2 63 2 2 66 3 2 79 1 3 72 2 3 75 3 3 Edited October 20, 2017 by Allseye 1
Valks 2,375 Report post Posted October 20, 2017 If it's too confusing to differentiate between the different terms, you can also just do it by Concordance of the Legionfall level. You are currently at level 6 Concordance, I would assume, which means: At Concordance level 9, you will get Tier 2 on your first relic. At Concordance level 12, you will get Tier 2 on your second relic. At Concordance level 15, you will get Tier 2 on your third relic. At Concordance level 18, you will get Tier 3 on your first relic. At Concordance level 21, you will get Tier 3 on your second relic. At Concordance level 24, you will get Tier 3 on your third relic.
gurupak 21 Report post Posted October 24, 2017 Thank you @Allseye and @Blainie! So this means we need to spend concordance points in right weapon specs of character, else it will take time to open all nether cruicible relics. :)
Allseye 96 Report post Posted October 25, 2017 Yes, a main-specialisation isn't bad at all. But it isn't anymore so hard to catch up with an other weapon due to weekly artifact knowledge increase.

Yep - at 130,500,000%, we're gaining Artifact Power pretty quickly :p
