Boss Mode Conquest

Recommended Posts

Guest Chimo - Guest

I'm only commenting here because I cannot comment in the "Divinity Conquest" sections of Conquests.

https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/divinity-conquest-guide

Anyway, I've completed GR-75 Solo, but it apparently means nothing in Season 15, in fact, I did not receive my 3rd Conquest for it.

There is no "Divinity" -Conquest mentioned in Season 15 - Guardian?

...hence why I'm looking at the "Boss" Conquest instead now.

The final "Guardian"-Season (15) Journey conquests makes no mention of the "Dinity-GR75-Solo" quest ?

I greatly appreciate all the work that the folks here at Icy-Veins do, but maybe you guys should update these "Conquest's" -relative to the Season's.

@Chimo:

there are a selection of 9 different conquests (and their matching HC versions), of which 5 are chosen to be "active" for each season.

this season's conqests are
Avarice - pick up a gold streak of 50 million.
Boss Mode - kill all the game bosses (except Vidian) within 20 minutes
The Thrill - complete GR45 solo, without wearing any set pieces.
Masters of the Universe - master 8 set dungeons, and..
Sprinter - complete the entire campaign (aka, story mode) within 1 hour.
(and, again, the matching HC versions; Avaritia, Worlds Apart, Superhuman, etc)

completing any of the other conquests this season will provide no benefit.

The hint about finding Ghom is not always correct. On my last run, the path with the Guard of the Keep led to a dead end.

Urzael's transition can be sped up slightly by using the 'close all windows' key to dismiss his dialogue.

My preference is to end with either Diablo or Malthael, since they both have lengthy, unskippable death sequences; you get the achievement as soon as the sequence begins.

I've tried Boss Mode conquest with another player, we spreaded out to different Acts and finish bosses individually one after another. Is there any change made by Blizzard since last update?. I ask because all the bosses each did did not reflect on the other. For instance, I started with Malthael as for it's a very easy boss to get into, but when we killed all bosses, the other player had not Malthael killed, not I had the checkmarks for the other bosses the other player killed.

You need to be present in the boss fight Area in order to get Credit for it. This Guide (link in the very first comment) should prove to be helpful.

Does this conquest need to be done in campaign or Adventure?  or can be done in either?

Adventure mode! Due to the way the Campaign is structured, a 20 minute clear of the relevant bosses would be impossible, I believe.

I've completed this conquest 3x solo in three different seasons. It's definitely doable...But it depends on your build. WW Barb is fast but not the very fastest.
I've done it mostly with Chicken WD, clocking in under 17minutes once but that time I was ridiculously lucky with Adria and Urazel (one was a bounty, the other just down the first track I tried).
One thing to remember is that VIDIAN IS NOT A BOSS. His logo's on the maps, and all that, but he simply isn't necessary for this conquest. I once finished this conquest in 19:56 and was really stressing out if I was gonna make it...and then I foudn out I killed a completely superfluent boss that's quite a long walk away 😄
Secondly, if you're going solo, know your bosses, and definitely end with Malthael.
> Cydeae can be one shot which saves a LOT of time
> No need to kill Zoltan's assistants. Walk in, one hit, out.
> Belial CANNOT be one shot - make sure you've also got some skill on your build to quickly kill the spawns. he ca nbe oneshot after the metamorphosis though.
> Diablo cannot be one shot, but one hit - one hit on shadow - one hit on the clone - one hit on Diablo should do it.
> There's a few unskippable death scenes, Malthael's is longest. You get the conquest before the animation plays out, so end with Mal.
> In the beginning killing the Skeleton King required you to kill the four pillars and stuff. No longer - just run straight through everything. This boss requires exactly one kill from the waypoint to the end. I've seen people spend WAY too much time here.

Lastly - don't forget different sources of movement speed! Some are capped together at 25% (Paragons and items), others aren't (skills and passives).

If I've completed my 3 conquests (divinity, avarice, and speed demon) and I wanted to help my friend complete boss rush for his 3rd, can I skip bosses he's doing, while I find the longer runs (urzael, Adria, etc) to get him into them faster? Will it still complete as long as HE enters each fight?

Boss mode is very doable with Barbarian using Bul-Kathos's Oath pair of set mighty weapons. I just did it solo with a minute to spare at around paragon 600 with <50% ancient equipment (none augmented). Initially I fully optimized for speed but couldn't kill the bosses fast enough. Made a few compromises to boost damage (Skull Grasp ring. I left many of the obvious skills off (no Sprint, no Furious Charge) because whirlwinding with -Oath was just as fast. Instead I went with skills that boost movement speed (Battle Rage / Ferocity, Ignore Pain / Bravado) and others to manage Fury and cooldowns.

I've done this quest many times solo with the PoJ build. I do switch out a couple of things though. For the 2nd hand weapon I use Vengeful Wind, belt is Kyoshiro's Soul, and the boots I use Illusory boots. For Kanai's cute I use warstaff of general Quang for increased speed when using tempest rush. For the runes, I change out Flury for Electric Field. Could this build be used for the recommended section?

Was this suggestion ever put up? I came to that conclusion myself and also altered the build, then came here to just put exactly that suggestion up and found a message from 1 year back which says the same :-). Btw, is Vidian now needed or not? I did the complete run in 19:55 or so solo (T10), but including Vidian. With the altered PoJ build, I could even afford running in wrong directions in at least two dungeons.

No, despite appearances, Vidian is NOT required for this Conquest. Been there, done that, too, by the way; since he has a boss token on the map it just seems logical to  take him out too.

A brand new season arrives in Diablo 3 next month! Blizzard have the full preview ready so let's take a look at the cosmetic rewards, season journey, Haedrig's Gift sets, and more!
      Season 33 (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem. Starting on October 25 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Shades of the Nephalem theme, which first debuted with Season 22. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below. Also, Season 32 will officially come to an end on October 20. Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Patch 2.7.8
      Season Theme
The shadows, they are moving, and they seem… animated. Like they have a will of their own. Whatever this trickery is, perhaps you can use it to your advantage. Let’s see what the demons say when you fight side by side with your own shadow! Shadows of the Past: Activating a Shrine/Pylon will spawn in a shadow clone of your class, who will come with a randomly chosen 1 of 3 predetermined builds. This clone's power will scale with your character and will last for 1 minute (unless your character dies). See this article for the shadow clone variations that can spawn when activating. Kanai’s Cube: Kanai’s Cube will have a fourth slot this season. This fourth slot will have the choices of the first 3 slots but will not stack with any of them, providing additional flexibility to your build. Return to Top Season Cosmetic Rewards
Beginning with Season 17, we began re-introducing previous Seasonal rewards to make them available to any who may have missed them the first time around. For Season 33, this means awards originally available from Season 9 are returning to the Season Journey. However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve already participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Prove your worth in the Trial of Tempests to earn the Stupendous Contraption pet and the Industrial Portrait Frame.
In addition to the Chest and Gloves slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn the Pandemonium portraits, and the cute and craggily Rocky pet first introduced in Season 9. Return to Top Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons before and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of five: Guardian of Sanctuary: Finish a Level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within five minutes. Gem of My Life: Level three Legendary Gems to level 55. All I Do is Win: Complete 2 Conquests this Season. Life Goes On: Kill Maghda at Level 70 in under fifteen seconds on Torment XIII difficulty. Money Ain’t a Thang: Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty. Treasure Goblins outside of Nephalem Rifts will sometimes open portals to Greed’s domain, The Vault. Take U There: Reach Greater Rift Level 60 Solo. Greater Rift keystones can be obtained from any Nephalem Rift guardian. Power Amplification: Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a Level 50+ gem. Cubic Reconfiguration: Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item. Return to Top Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 33? Here are the challenges you’ll face: For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at level 70 on Torment X or higher. Also returning for Season 33 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete the entire Diablo III campaign from Act I to Act V at Level 70 in under an hour! Next is Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million Gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. We're also bringing Thrill/Superhuman, which requires completion of a Greater Rift Level 45—solo and without any Set items equipped. And lastly we'll be bringing back Speed Demon/Need for Speed, meaning you'll need to beat a Torment X Nephalem Rift at Level 70 in 2 minutes. Best of luck! Return to Top Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works: Completing Acts II, III, and IV of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely! The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character. Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 33: Barbarian - Might of the Earth Crusader - Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter - The Shadow's Mantle Monk - Monkey King's Garb Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard - Firebird's Finery Necromancer - Grace of Inarius Return to Top Patch 2.7.8
Our next patch goes live on October 22 and introduces quality-of-life updates for demon slayers on Mac. New Mac Executables/Mac Native Silicon and Intel: These updates will allow Diablo III to run on new versions of the macOS. PC Experience Stability: This PTR is open to both Mac and PC players. While the focal point of the 2.7.8 PTR is to test technical updates for Mac, we want PC users to monitor their playing experience as well. If you experience any stability issues or difficulties in connecting with Mac players, please give us that feedback. Return to Top

      Fourth Kanai's Cube Slot

      Season 33 Start?
We expect Season 33 to start in late September/early October 2024.

Season 32 of Diablo 3, Ethereal Memory, will go live later today, and we have prepared a list of various useful and updated guides to help you get started!
The Season of Ethereal Memory will start later today at 5 p.m. PDT (NA Servers), 5 p.m. CEST (EU Servers), and 5 p.m. KST (Asian Servers). The theme of Season 32 was first introduced with Season 24 and is now back for another round!
      What are Ethereal Memories?
The theme of the season reintroduces the Ethereals, which are rare and powerful items known from Diablo II and reimagined for Diablo III. You will be able to hunt for all 21 iconic weapons of Diablo 2 during the season, but this time they will be harder to find and will only drop in Ancient or Primal rarity!

To help you with the start of this new season, our team has been busy updating all of our Diablo 3 guides to reflect all the changes ahead of the season launch. You can find our Season 32 Hub, as well as guides for leveling, the season mechanic, rankings, season start guides for each class, and even conquest guides, in the list below.
General Season Guides Our Season 32 guides include all the information you need to know, from Haedrig's Gift sets to SSF and season mechanic explanations:

Furthermore, the end of journey rewards (originally introduced in Season 17) are back: The Teganze Warrior portrait frame and the Bat pet!

As an interesting side note, the portrait frame you can earn this season is named after Teganze, a zone that was first introduced in Diablo 2 and will be revisited during our journey in the upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred!

Season 32 in Diablo 3 starts on July 12 and here is the official preview with more details.
      (Source)
Sanctuary needs you to answer its call for aid in Season 32: Ethereal Memory. Starting on July 12 at 5 p.m. PDT/CET/KST, Nephalem can harness the power of the Ethereal Memory theme, which first debuted with Season 24. For an in-depth look at what’s coming, take a gander below.

      Seasonal Journey
      Season Theme
      Season Cosmetic Rewards
      Season Journey Rewards
      Seasonal Conquest
      Haedrig’s Gift
      Season Theme
As the Nephalem reflect on Sanctuary's history, instruments of power from a bygone era resurface. These ethereal memories will grant those persistent enough to search for them unimaginable power. Legends of the past will manifest once more in the present, and you must decide how to best use these gifts—for ethereal power is fugacious by nature, and will soon return to being no more than a myth.
For this seasonal theme, we were inspired to reimagine how Ethereal items could manifest in Diablo III, with 21 iconic weapons making a return from Diablo II. In Season 32, Ethereals are rare, powerful, and fleeting items.
Season 32 reintroduces Ethereals, a weapon-type that players will be able to acquire and hunt for in their upcoming seasonal journey. Ethereals will roll a powerful set of affixes, a random Class Weapon Legendary Power and a random Class Passive Power. Ethereals will have unique icons, names, item types, and sounds originally found in Diablo II. For additional details on Ethereals, check out the list below:
Ethereals are account bound and can only be dropped by monsters, chests, and destructibles, but do not require your character to be Level 70 in order to drop. Ethereals cannot be acquired through Kanai's Cube or from Kadala. Ethereal rarity drop rate is set between Ancient and Primal items. There are 3 unique Ethereals per class. Each Ethereal has fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class Passive Skill. Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time. Ethereals ignore item durability loss. Legendary Powers and Class Passive Skills rolled on Ethereals do not stack with the same power equipped through Kanai's Cube, Items or Skills. Ethereals cannot be Enchanted, Transmogrified, Dyed, Reforged, or traded. Ethereals can be augmented. Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength, Ethereal Recollection. Players who accomplish this will have all Ethereal transmogrify options available for future seasonal and non-seasonal play. Ethereals only drop in Seasonal play and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends. Return to Top

We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic rewards for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey. Feast your eyes upon the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet!

In addition to the Boots and Pants slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, you’ll be able to earn a series of portrait frames that smolder with demonic fires of the Burning Hells. The iconic wings of Andariel will also be available once more, allowing you to truly embrace your inner Maiden of Anguish.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons for the past few Seasons and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs. You’ll earn one additional tab each Season by finishing the Conqueror tier, up to a maximum of 5:

      Seasonal Conquest
Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 32? Here are the challenges you’ll face!
For Curses!/Stars Align, pick any Cursed Chest event that requires killing monsters and defeat over 350 or more at Level 70 on Torment X or higher. Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey (courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift) have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 32:
Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call Crusader – Seeker of the Light Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
