i read your guide for frost mage, and i dont understand why

in orange, you say 80 intel 180 haste

In yello you say 310 haste

 

why this difference?

why not always 320 haste or always 80 intel + 180 haste?

Because, you can put orange gems in red sockets, so you will get the gemming bonus from the item. However, if you put a yellow gem in the red socket you will not get the gem bonus.

 

In the case of the yellow socket, we can freely put a yellow gem in the socket and get the bonus stats. And it is the yellow gem, becausein this case it is better than the orange one.

For lower geared frost, which I'm assuming Luciole is at this point, isn't gemming straight int in red sockets and int/haste in yellows better?  Especially since they wont be snapshotting DoTs with high haste procs or the LMG?

I guess he asked in general if not, then you are right.
