Allied Races Racial Abilities in Patch 7.3.5

Recommended Posts

2GSeMeW.jpg

A first look at racial abilities and passives of Allied Races.

If you pre-order Battle for Azeroth, you will get early access to four Allied Races. In other words, you will be able to level them up to 110 before the expansion launch. Patch 7.3.5 contains new unlock scenarios, character customization options and all assets to enable Allied Races, so it's really safe to say that they will be part of an upcoming pre-order promotion.

Dark Iron Dwarves and Zandalari Trolls will be added to the game later. No information about their racials are currently available.

Highmountain Tauren

Lightforged Draenei

Nightborne

Void Elves

Only the 4? That's disappointing since I planned on making my main a Zandalari Troll and yet we have NO information on them yet. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who called early access to allied races as the pre order bonus but I'm disappointed it's limited to these 4, bigger question though is why aren't the Dark Iron Dwarves one of the 4 available for the pre order bonus? They can't be THAT difficult since they share a model skeleton with regular Dwarves, only difference being the skin tones, hair, and eye color, granted the racials might be the reason but the names of the abilities were leaked so those are at least named. Guess Blizzard wanted to put more elves into the game before they finished what should be one of the easier allied races to implement. I swear, soon the game will be nothing but Void Elves in the Alliance and Blood Elves in the Horde, it'll be awful...

Do you understand the Legion story line or are you just complaining to complain? The four new sub-races introduced in Legion are the ones mentioned above, of course it's going to be the four at the moment. Dark Iron Dwarves and Zandalari Trolls are obviously going to be unlocked further on because of story elements.

And who said it was just going to be 6, this is pretty much the beginning for more options for a multitude of other sub-races that are not just elves which I found your argument on that spectrum pretty lackluster and pitiful.

Jeez dude, the expansion isn't out chill out before you blow a fuse.

Is it just me, or are the elf racials here a bit over the top?

Yes they are. Nightborne are mandatory for topdps casters while void elfs are mandatory for (hey i want another movement ability (warlock demonic circle)... i wouldnt even wonder anymore if they take away demonic circle from warlock to give it to void shits :D

Those racials seem to be pretty strong in some regards but I never cared for the potential of dealing more dmg etc. Picking a race is purely aesthetic for me. Dealing 101 instead of 100 dmg with a spell is not that much of a difference anyway.

And I would be really happy if all that complaining would cease for once. Too many elves, not enough elves... yadda yadda yadda...

And it makes perfect sense that at least the Zandalari are not playable pre release as their island is the main quest line area for the Horde.

Sorry, I had no intention to sound as though I was complaining. I was just wondering of the four that are going to be available early why would the Dark Iron Dwarves be coming later since they've been ingame since Vanilla, I just don't understand what possible story reasoning could have been barring their entrance into the Alliance since Cataclysm when the Council of Three Hammers was formed. It confuses me. I get why the Zandalari would be held off, seeing as how they've been everyone's enemies since Cataclysm and we haven't even been to their homeland yet, but I'm still disappointed that there's no preview of what their racials are going to be while we at least have the names of the Dark Iron Dwarf racials. Again, not trying to sound like I'm complaining, more contemplating. But seriously though, we have enough elves...

I think both Dark Iron Dwarves and Zandalari Trolls are gated behind the Battle for Azeroth campaign. I'm sure we'll see their racials soon.

I am a sworn Horde, but boy the appearances of the Void Elves look so sweet. I am jealous.

Now, racial-wise, even though racials don't matter that much anymore, I'll probably go for whatever is best for my Mage. Or maybe I'll just go back to Undead <3, which is how I originally started playing WoW. Decisions, decisions!

I will most definitely play a Nightborne Arcane Mage but I am really tempted to play an alt on the Alliance's side so I can get my hands on one of those nifty Void Elves :-)

The problem is we are going to get some of the allied races first before The expac it seems. That is all fine and great and everything but the problem is for those that want to say main a Zandalari troll warrior in the expac we are kinda screwed.I don't want to be trying to level a troll from 20 to 110 for the transmog while I am trying to also level my main to 120 and start gearing him out for raids. Those that get the 4 early will have the chance to level them and be done with it before the expac hits.

Oh damn, now i want all orc clans, broken, wildhammer clan dwarfs, Naga (as transformation like the worgen), Undead Elves, not rotten undead, etc.

I hope they will add other subraces too!

Seeing as that isn't a thing, I doubt it. If they made Naga playable, they'd be Horde and maybe Ally could get the Jinyu, seeing as they were BFFs in Pandaria. I really want some Demonic Blood infused Orcs. Oh, and some Leper Gnomes to make fun of!

Id kinda like to play a Nightborne mage but they use nelf casting animations so it's a big NOPE from me.

I did not even think about that... damn... I really hate those animations :-(

Ok? And? They aren't going to release Zandalari Trolls and Dark Iron Dwarves because you find it unfair that people can level the other 4 before the expac hits. You have to think about the lore and the story before you think about your selfish reasons for wanting things early. And chances are, you will be able to unlock the two sub-races pretty early on when the expansion drops.

Oh and just for the record, they allow ample enough time between the beginning of the Expac and the first raid so don't worry about it. You will have more than enough time to level a Zandalari Troll. And if you are that upset about leveling Zandalari Troll while gearing your main character at once then just use a level boost. You won't get the armor, but hey at least that's one of your problems solved.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

How to Get the Spirit of Eche'ro Mount
      1. Download MapCoords or some other add-os that displays coordinates in the game.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
