Mage or warlock

Hi so im currently in the process to boost up another alt and im picking between mage (fire/frost) or warlock (affliction). But cant really decide on what since the guild im in is a 10man raiding guild with none of these classes. So my question is what are your opinions on these in terms on fun/rewarding gameplay, viability if you dont get decent legendarys.

I'd go Warlock Aff, just because of the awesome AOE you bring to the party as well as Soul Well

AFF is one of, if not THE top range dps at the moment. It is also a very simple spec to play - Perhaps the easiest of all classes and specs. The survivalbility is also very strong. 

 

With that said, mage does just fine and are in my opinion a little more fun to play. Locks are however a very popular choice for raiding and myth+ content.

Depending on what you do, Mages in M+ are as good as Aff Warlocks. You can definitely push world-first keys as a Fire Mage (there's actually a guy that does clear +27s with his group as a Fire Mage). They're amazing in single target too (Mages), just depends on your spec.

I'd go with whichever you prefer, they're both amazing at the moment.
