Morcalivan 86 Report post Posted January 20, 2018 (edited) So what are your favourite clone combinations? Either as Abathur or someone being cloned? While clones are un-talented, if you pick the right one the impact can be huge. I try to stick to warriors like Artanis, Diablo, and Blaze. Makes escape damn near impossible. But, a specialist like Probius can wipe a zerg rush on Braxis in seconds. Sgt. Hammer cloned can support and protect its original. Chromie can be scary enough, but with another one running around players tend to just back away. Blaze and Probius are probably my favourites if only because they can setup the original and vice versa to deal some massive slows and area damage. Blaze also has access to Pyromania every time he's cloned, which can then be used much more aggressively than the original. And laying double pylons, cannons and warprifts is just fun to watch. I've seen some pretty funny stuff when Abathur clones Samuro and the screen is filled with 6 Samuros. Not really my favorite, but funny as hell. Valeera is absurdly powerful if cloned by Abathur; having access to that insane amount of crowd control is insane.
PrivateJoker 27 Report post Posted January 27, 2018 (edited) Cloning Garrosh, or Artanis, and double throwing someone across the planet, is always good times. You could even play catch. Edited January 27, 2018 by PrivateJoker
NinjaOpossum 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2018 It's situational, but in general my favorite cloneydudes are Li-Ming (strong raw damage + one takedown enables a truly devastating combo) and tracer (very reliable and controlled damage, easy backline zoning). Valhalen 1,484 Report post Posted June 25, 2018 I have a question: if Abathur tries to clone The Lost Vikings, will he clone a single Viking or all three?

Followup question: If you clone Deckard and use some potions, do the potions persist after the clone dies? If you clone him again do the existing ones count toward your potion total? What I'm getting at is: Can I repeatedly clone him to create a huge pile of potions? On a more practical note, people with death traits are a great fit. Particularly Tyrael, since you dive in like a maniac, soak and deal some damage, then go out with a bang. You can do something similar with Junkrat. Double Kerrigan deserves a shoutout for ridiculous combo ability too.

A very interesting question. I think that the existing potions will be replaced since Deckard can only have up to 5 potions on the field. However I do not know if the potions placed by the Clone Deckard would dissappear after it dies.

I think an equivalent question, which someone can probably answer, is whether Time Trap stays around after the clone dies, and if so, whether casting it again with a new Chromie clone removes the old one.
