Icefury/Lego Ring

Recommended Posts

Curious here - the ele guide says to run Icefury with the fire/frost/nature ring, but I'm not quite clear on why.  Since elemental blast checks all 3 in one cast, why add frost shockery to the rotation?  Icefury itself doesn't seem like a heavy enough hitter to justify it... what am I getting wrong?

I think it's because ele blast doesnt keep it up 100 percent of the time, so icefury adds uptime. I'd still play whatever you are more comfortable with though, icefury adds a lot of complication.

Exactly why - Elemental Blast can only hold 66% uptime of the buff alone. 8 second buff vs. 12 second cooldown, and that's assuming it is cast perfectly on cooldown.

It's really a niche choice for fights that are purely single target, and also have enough movement that Ascendance is a problem. If you're able to stand still and pump out Lava Bursts for the entire duration of Ascendance, then you're going to get better results than anything Icefury could do.
