Kul Tiran Customization Options in Battle for Azeroth

Recommended Posts

bISkfm4.jpg

While Kul Tirans are not a confirmed Allied Race, they are marked as player and NPC races in the game files. In this preview, we're looking at their customization options as of Alpha Build 26095.

UPDATE: Blizzard added new Kul Tiran Druid Bear forms in Alpha Build 26231.

Adding NPCs to playable races makes customization easier when Blizzard generates mobs for the open world. A great example are the Lightforged Draenei of Argus. They were marked as a playable races first and used to create Argus mobs. Blizzard added them later as a playable Allied Race. Kul Tirans have been added in Battle for Azeroth and they may become a new Allied Race in the future. Mag'har Orcs as an Allied Race are confirmed for the Horde and the faction's also recruiting the Zandalari Trolls to their ranks, so it would make perfect sense for Kul Tirans to join the Alliance at some point.

Would you play a Kul Tiran? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!

Customization Options

This is a very early preview of customization options available to Kul Tirans. Expect more options to be added in future builds.

hm... Meaty Humans...

Haha, wouldn't it be funny if they gave Maghar Orcs to Alliance and Kul Tirin Humans to Horde... It would be the best thing they've ever done solely on the fact that it would infuriate so many players. I've always enjoyed when devs troll their players.

I am so excited for those. I just cant understand all the uproar of people claiming "blizzard loves horde and hates alliance" just because they think the alliance allied races are boring. We get "a different kind" of Draenei, bloodelves and dwarfs. So the Horde gets "a different kind" of tauren, nightelves and trolls. Nothing to exciting to compare the two. But now the horde gets just a recolored orc race (from what i saw [seems pretty boring to me]), but the alliance gets the coolest and most realistic looking (and completely fresh) model of humans. Its so amazing.

Very confident that Kul Tirans will be an allied race for the Alliance since zandalari trolls are confirmed for the horde. I would definitely roll a Kul Tiran Warrior or Paladin but a rogue? damn that gives me RP ideas lol Maghar orcs and Kul-tiran humans to be the next confirmed allied race.

I mean badassery in terms of humanoids with human features. Arakkoa is on a whole other level of badassery. I'd personally love if they became playable, even with their default hunched form.

But no race is more badass than the Tuskarr.

Honestly it could go either way.  The Zandalari Troll counter allied race are the Dark Iron Dwarves.  If they go with Mag'har Orcs and Kul Tiran Humans as the next two the my bet would be Orcs in the Horde and KT Humans in the Alliance, however, It would be pretty cool to have that extra dynamic of having an Orc Alliance race, and Human Horde race.

Except that it would go against everything the lore has been building up over the years. Ultimately Warcraft boils down to "Orcs vs Humans". If you give either faction humans/orcs respectively it would be illogical from the perspective of the Mag'har Orcs (who wanted to invade Azeroth during WoD) and the Kul'Tiras Humans (whose former leader got killed by the Horde in WC3).

So as much as I can appreciate interesting race choices, I don't there should ever be Orcs in the Alliance or Humans in the Horde.

KT humans would make me consider rerolling horde, when they are added to the Horde. Yet I do not believe KT will be a player race, as far too many armors need to be revamped for their body type.

Wasn't Garrosh a maghar? Wouldn't have thought they'd be welcome in the Horde after that.

Why would all uncorrupted orcs be booted out of the horde simply because one of them did something bad? Mag'har isn't a clan, it's their physical state. Mag'har is orcish for uncorrupted, referring to the natural orcs who did not drink the demon blood. Garrosh was a warsong orc.

By the way, there is currently plenty of mag'har in the horde coming from a wide variety of clans and backgrounds. The upcoming playable mag'har will be the former iron horde from WoD though.

Oh I don't disagree, I'm just saying it could go either way because Blizzard tends to retcon anything that they feel they want to change regardless of where it's printed.  But I agree KT humans and M Orcs would cause chaos to erupt if they were put opposite the rest of their races.

After all the Green orc skin came from the corruption of the Fel.  This also explains why the Mag'har that we come into contact with on Hellfire Peninsula require us to prove ourselves as allies even if we are playing Orc Characters.

Also if the Horde followed the premise of one's actions determines the whole then Go'el would have been cast out long ago for both the Fel in his blood and the fact that even after being a slave to humans he still sought peace with them in times of extreme hardship, such as fighting Garrosh, the Sha, the Legion etc..

Who would win?

• Mogul: an ancient race of stone beings created by the Titans, and responsible for the creation of the Vale of the Eternal Blossoms.

OR

• Tuskarr: some viking walrus bois.

In all seriousness. Mogul are lazy in the sense that Blizzard used the Draenei rigs and bones for their animations, whereas the Tuskarr feature unique animations for EVERYTHING.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
