Goblin Hovercraft Mounts in Battle for Azeroth

Recommended Posts

We found four different tints of Goblin Hovercraft mounts in the game files so far. At least one of them (Xiwyllag ATVXiwyllag ATV) will be crafted by Engineers. All tints may eventually be available from Engineering, similar to Jewelcrafting mounts in Mists of Pandaria.

UPDATE: This mount is probably intended for the final boss of THE MOTHERLODE dungeon.

Another cool mount we found is called PH Goblin Head. It has a built-in drill and a machine gun. It's similar to Mimiron's HeadMimiron's Head, but way cooler! We have no idea if it's going to be available to players, but at the moment, it's listed under mounts.

Holy fucking shit. Now I can finally get something that looks remotely similar to Mimiron's Head since motherbitch Yogg Saron refused to give to me all these years. Unless they make the requirement even harder.

...Engineers.  Again.

They virtually get every useful and unique item in this game.

Youre not serious right? Tailoring: flying carpet, BS: green corehound, JC: Jewled panther mounts (4 in total), alchemist: ALL THE POTIONS just all of them...

Long story short eng got shafted for most of this expansion, nearly no ways to make a stable income, almost all the use items didnt even work in the only raid they were tuned for, basically still brought for only the repair bots, and even then most of the raid you can just mount up. Sorry they get to make a new mount, i guess.

Oh I'm quite serious. Mounts are mounts. Even your example from tailoring was all the way back to Wrath, unless you actually USE creeping carpet.  It's not 'just repairs.'  Read more for 'useful and unique.'  "engineers got shafted."

Remind me again what a BS brings to the table in a raid?

Engineering 'shafted' repeatedly via:

Reaves, Auto hammer, Failure detection pylon, Jeeves, Wormhole Generator, Mailbox, Goblin Jumper Cables, Food dispenser table...

Older patterns all the way back to Major Recombobulator and Deepdive Helmet...

if u want to pull in the old patterns im still going to go with the fact eng got shafted this exp. Useful and unique alchemy still wins, eng got ANOTHER (trying to drive this non-unique thing here) repair bot. failure pylon is the only raid useful thing currently on the table but wont be used much anywhere else and is unreliable due to the placement requirements, where as the food table isnt used bc almost everything out there is better AND isnt on a CD AND is cheaper to make (see fish plate).

BS got a new mount this xpac and eng got what? a robot that again didnt work for the first part of the expansion, lets not even talk about how your couldnt even complete the robot for the first 4 months because of ridiculous farming requirements. The most unique thing eng got this round was the blingtron game, and we got a similar game with JC bejewled.

Long store short, your original post about eng getting everything is just wrong. Nearly every other prof has a stable way to generate income while also being able to add to your characters daily use (usefulness right here). BS and LW are the only competitors this exp for longevity as the crafted gear just falls off too quick.

I wont deny eng got some "cool" stuff this expac like the bandage gun or the buoy but really, theyre not used, at all. Theyre all gimics because they couldnt think of anything useful to give eng, And I really wish the turret was worth it but again, its just not worth the time or resources. Sadly they also restrict the mech usage to outdoors and gave it such pitiful numbers it wasnt worth more than a quick laugh never to be used again.

As opposed to what Enchanting ALWAYS gets, enchants, and Alchys ALWAYS get, flasks....  Missing your point there.  Reaves isnt JUST a repair bot, it has like 8 different functions.  "I dont like those functions" not withstanding, they're still there.

aaaaand back to mounts.  How are they 'useful and unique' in ANY environment, unless its a repair mount?  You can get around just as good on a Stormwind Gryphon or an Ellwyn Pony as Invincible or some crafted mount.

That's still not explaining what professions like BS bring to a raid - meaning 'useful.'  Or even unique since it brings literally zero, whether you " like it" or not.

No.  See above.  Your desire to use it doesn't mean it's not available.

Theeeere is the crux.  Youre not talking USEFUL or unique, just sales now.  Eng doesn't get a lot of sellable stuff?  Nuts!  They were selling goblin gliders last xpac like they were going out of style.  'shucks'.  EVEN THAT IS/WAS USEFUL AND UNIQUE.

Also what does selling have to do with your daily use of your character?  Unless you go AH every day (I never do,) your re-saleable items are a moot point.  Does that mean I get to discount your arugment because I dont find selling stuff to be 'useful or unique?'

'useful' again...  Many of its perks are useful, whether you want to or not is immaterial.  You think they'd make all the mats cheaper for (and buffs as good or better than the rest for) eng also, since you could pick one profession and eliminate many others?  No.  It'd eliminate numerous professions.

Eng does a great many things marginally well, and has a little bit of utility for MANY things.  Your desire to use it is immaterial, it's still there.

UNIQUE, for sure.  Useful is debateable, but I can tell you this, the mats 'costing more' are a far sight better than the mailbox I can't make with tailoring, or the Goblin Glider I can't make with Enchanting, or the food table I can't make with Leatherworking, or the reparibot I can't make with JC...

Wondering if it being a hovercraft will it be able to go over water like the waterstrider. If so will might sell pretty nice to people that dont have a strider moun't and dont want to grind the rep for one.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
