Hey there fellow Rogues

Long time lurker, first time poster here...

We've been told by our raid leaders to improve ourselves in terms of playstyle, rotation, CD usage etc.

Since I’m not that good with log analysis and log comparison, I thought that, since there are a couple of high-end rogues active on here, maybe you guys could help me to improve.

I already saw that I often keep TB off CD for too long – working on that one. I’m sure there are a couple more changes I should (could) make to push my DPS.

Honestly, barring some good RNG in your favour during fights, there really isn't too much to work on. The main suggestion I have is to work on your Surge of Toxins uptime and to work on pooling some Energy before you go into Vendetta. You should have 100% uptime on SoT while Vendetta and Kingsbane are running, and other than that just try to maximise it

You could probably find some better relics as well, but yours have titanforged so high that maybe the Garrote damage one is actually decent. You want to make sure that you've got Deadly Poison traits on each one - the ilevel of the relic matters very little, if you haven't seen them before I recommend using this spreadsheet and the addon called CrucibleWeight to sort through new relics

Other than that, parsing highly as Sin is highly dependent on RNG and/or cheee strats such as stacking Felhounds. For some comparison, the current rank 1 parse for Garothi is an ilevel 974 Rogue (pretty much what you are, but with a few more traits) who had over 100M damage from Poison Bomb. On your best parse, your Bomb did under 39M (the other Rogue on your kill did just over 52M with his), and your fight was a whole 90 seconds longer than the rank 1 kill.

I always taught that during KB i need to keep the Envenom buff up not SoT? But I will surely keep an eye out on this one!

 

And I know that our raid does pretty low dmg compared to others, that's why we've been told to improve our play style in general.

Keeping SoT keeps Envenom up by default, unless for some reason you're using Envenom with 2CP. The only other time that Envenom might drop is if you need to refresh Rupture during KB, which is also still worth it.

I've started mentioning SoT rather than Envenom cause it's the shorter of the 2 debuffs, and using Envenom with 3CP to maintain SoT and its own buff through Vendetta and / or KB is worthwhile
