Uldir Sets in Battle for Azeroth

Recommended Posts

With the removal of set bonuses, Class sets are a thing of the past. In Battle for Azeroth, raid sets are down to four armor types: Cloth, Leather, Mail, and Plate. Today, we're looking at Uldir sets and recolors for all difficulties.

In WoW's upcoming expansion, we'll only get four appearances per raid (down from 12). Uldir is the first raid of BfA and sets appear to be themed after titans.

Are all these sets what everyone gets regardless of class?

Yes, since there are no tier sets anymore.

And boy, they are ugly af.

These are... Really bad, like the cloth and mail are passable as dungeon sets (they might look good on some races), the plate one maybe as a leveling set (will look good on large races), but the leather one is just horrible. No part of me wants that on any class. Its colors, general shapes and overall design just hurts to look at. It reminds me of vanilla random quest gear.

Looks like WoW is getting the FFXIV treatment with sets...bleh. I was looking forward to maybe having more unique sets for DH but I guess thats a big fat no. Arena PvE mode confirmed.

Bronze, silver, gold... is that the best they could come up with? and not just the colors, the overall design is just boring, like tkioz said, they look like leveling gear. do they think just because we can transmog that people don't want new sets?

After 1st raid Blizz will see that ppl hate concept of no more tier sets and will get them back or at least make some better designed outfits. These ones look more like something you might find at Dwemer ruins in Elder Scrolls game. Its pretty much plain and boring. What i loved about WoW armor sets was that they always had this fantasy vibe in details and rest. No we get gear which can be compared to items found on first levels in GW2 or ESO

You'd think with them having to design LESS it wouldn't be so lazy and boring. Welcome to BfA, boys, where the absolute minimum of effort is done, yet people will still eat it up.

Honestly, the warfront sets, and their various stages look way better imho.

True, pvp and warfronts looks much better. Atm pvp seems more interesting in terms of transmog than raiding.

Not having class specific sets is bullshit. No more class identity is really bad, i guess they are out of ideas. Take away bonuses but let us wear cool class sets ?

I Thin they will realize that players dont like removing sets and give them back next major patch or expansion

This is just first raid look. Also i think the weapons and shields from this area are not that bad. And imo warrior T21 was alot more ugly, especially for a endgame set (at least until mythicmode....). It was like unfinished textures.

With the removal of set bonuses

What the F?!?!?! I'm just read this first time and shock like hell. How can Blizz so lazy to do only four "sets" after armor types and not after classes/specializations?! Plus this sets looks ugly as hell, nothing special or unique appearance? At least if they remove sets then make the other armors unique and epic, but this?! Jesus.. I have now much less mood to start this expansion. I'm totally disappointed.

Take a minute and really think about tier sets and their bonuses these past expansions. And forget about vanilla, gear was very different back then... The problem that we constantly ran into with tier sets is 1. they either pushed you into a specific playstyle or were just really boring, and 2. they were often so good that you would wear them through out the entire next tier. The legendaries in Legion made things even worse, so I think trying to combine the legendaries and set boni into singular items (aka azerite armor) is worth a shot.

What I would like to see though is more non-tier sets, like the trinkets and rings we have seen in Legion.

You are right. This would be really nice since they copied alot stuff from Diablo.

Imo alot mythic+ items will also have alot higher value without tier sets. But we will see the full results in the first few months of BfA i guess.

Yea lets make it so every class only has to worry about picking the best talent in each row and only 3 buttons to press outside of CC. I'm looking forward to when you can loot just one weapon that changes to you best stats when you swap specs, along with looting only one trinket that procs increase in stats with no cool new effects.

Legendaries in Legion like Scarlet Inquisitor's Expurgation and Cold Heart were lame, like why do I want to modify an ability in such a way that it makes my class fun and augments playstyle?

When I said that legendaries made things worse, I meant that, because of leggos, they made Tier sets 6 pieces instead of 5. The result was people wearing 2+4, or situations where you got your 4 pieces but couldn't wear them because a slot was blocked by a leggo.

Apart from that and the insane randomness in having them actually drop, I did enjoy legendaries for the most part.

Also, can we stop with this "pruning" hogwash already? People have been repeating the same nonsense since Wrath...

actually when i heard blizzard is removing sets would mean that we get more diverse looks, perhaps loot from each boss will represent the boss and be unique. this is just sad ?

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
