Currently, I am using the goggles from Engineering. I know they are a special case for azerite talents, but what would be the best choices for those while I am using them? I've heard that the bomb choice was glitched atm.

Hello dutchmagoz, i have a simple question. U're telling us that our main stats are Crit>hate>mastery !

However when i checked T22 arcan report from simcraft we can see in the gear that he has a lot of items with mastery and versatility, he has only 9% haste.

Does atm mastery and/or versa superior to haste?

This all depends on your current stats, trinkets, azerite pieces, etc. The best way to figure out your own personal stats is to use https://www.raidbots.com/simbot/stats.

Hello Dutchmagoz ! Im new to the arcane mage specialisation , and I had a question about the burn phase :

From what I understood , when you enter burn phase , you use all your mana , use evocation , and then drop to like 50-60% mana before going in conserve phase. But , if evocation is on cd , what do you do ? Do you still use your entire mana bar , or do burn mana until AC is finished ?

You burn your entire mana bar anyway. In most cases Evocation should be ready, but if it's not ready yet, simply hover around 0-20% mana until evocation is ready and then use it.

You can just spam it and never have to worry about cutting it short!
You can also remove the Arcane Missiles after nochanneling if you want.  This will make it so if you're channeling anything as opposed to only Arcane Missiles .  Hope everyone else finds it useful too!

Ok, I just read the new rotation section, very well organized with the boxes although its missing resonance as an option. One question I have with the burn phase  and the conserve that I have been doing before this.

Q#1) Do I wait for Evocation to be at about 20 seconds to enter burn with RoP and AP ready or if they are ready and Evo has 40-30 sec left just go and then do as you said above?

Q#2) When I Evo after burn, I don't ABarr I keep my stacks then cast RoP, ABarr, CU then ABarr again before starting my AB in conserve phase, should I change this?

1. Just go, maybe you get lucky with Clearcasting procs and you won't even have to conserve around 0-20%. You can always conserve around 0-20% if it's needed.

 

2. If running rule of threes, make sure you cast 1 arcane blast after the CU, since it is free anyway. Aside from that, don't drop the charges during rune of power.

Hi. iv been having some trouble with keeping the dmg up. the burst is easy and when cd´s is of cooldown and so on, but in there between, im falling like a rock thrown in to the oscean..  when to throw barrage for example? i have no idea!? dont know if my talents are good eather. just followed my gut. Have tryed some oathers to, but i don´t get it to work with out using sp rune. i need some help.!  My mage https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/tarren-mill/Janneförfan. plz check him and tell med what i need to correct in gear and talents, my talents as mastery and crit is probly wrong to..

The whole point of arcane mage is really  to have enough mana for the Arcane Power duration to get as many arcane blasts as possible with 4x arcane charges. It's very basic spec.

Basically, your trinkets are garbage, take off that vessel and get a balefire branch. Also, why you stack on mastery? Mastery is garbage too, enchants and gems you must go towards crit. Also I see that you've got no archive of the titans active in your gear, it is mandatory having at least one in uldir, outside it's just meh.

I have a question about the recently buffed trait Equipoise. In the guide it is recommend to use in the conserv phase Arcane Barrage at 60% mana and not enter the burn phase with less than 30% mana with Overpowered.  Is it not better to keep the dps part of the buff active rather than the manacost buff? What is stronger, the aditional damage or the saved mana?

I have the trait two times. Maybe its a tooltip mistake becaus I diden´t check the numbers but only the damage part seems to stack. So with three Equipoise traits, isn´t it worth to play above 70% mana in conserv phase and only start burst if over 70% mana?

On the Azerite page, it states to conserve at 80% with Equipoise, but I will also add this to the rotation page to ensure it is not missed when only reading the rotation page.

The damage buff is MUCH stronger than the mana saving buff, so you will want to remain above 80% at most times (to ensure if you cast Arcane Blast at 80% mana, you will not drop below the 70% threshhold.)

You are correct that only the damage part stacks, not the mana reduction part.

So:

• Conserve 80%+ Mana
• Start your burn phase while on 80%+ Mana

I’m mag’har with the 2 min cd racial. Should i just use arcane power on cd or should i wait 30 sec on it for the two to align? I’m guessing just use them seperate?

Use them both on cooldown unless the fight length is in such a way that you would not lose any usages of either by lining them up.

For example, a 5.30-6 minute fight. You will use both together on the pull, then again on 2 minutes, and again on 4 minutes. You will not be able to use Arcane Power more than 3 times in the fight duration anyway, so lining them up together is more beneficial. (max 4 AP usages on a 5.30-6 minute fight)

For the Easymode section, I'd like to share what works best in my experience. I'll list the talent and why I prefer it. This is primarily geared towards world play.

1) Amplification - Better than Rune of Threes when paired with charged up, and I hate pets.

2) Slipstream - Great for mobility. Makes it very easy to kite mobs and avoid bad stuff on the ground.

3) Mirror Image - Great for soloing elites and very good overall for helping you get out of a jam.

4) Charged Up - 4 Charges frontloaded is awesome. 

5) Ice Ward - A 2nd Frost Nova is great for AOE farming, and greatly increases survivability when you get in a jam with multiple mobs.

6) Touch of the Magi if you don't mind the splash pulling yellow mobs. Otherwise Nether Tempest for more control over your damage.

7) Overpowered - Speaks for itself.

Arcane appears to be the bottom-ranked spec for both raids and mythic plus, across all difficulty levels. It is among the least played specs in the game. The top thread on the blizzard mage forum describes Arcane as a dead and broken spec, and in the discussion that follows, no one really disputes that.

Maybe it is time to update the overview section and it's much rosier assessment? Or at least explain these discrepancies?

Hi!

Crit is (usually, it depends on your character) the best stat, but since Carapace of N'Zoth and N'Zoth drop higher item level loot (485 on mythic, compared to 475) than any other source in the game, those legs are better, even with slightly worse stats.
