110 boost Question about the 110 Boost and pre patch events

When i bought wow a few months ago i got a 110 level boost.

and i am SERIOUSLY being tempted to use the boost to get the pre-patch event mounts and then use the 110 as a money maker.

the only reason i'm hesitant to use the boost is because i want to learn about the classes i like rather than just jumping in at the deep end.

but my main concern is that if I use the boost. will it let me access the pre-patch events for the mounts at all?
