destri 1 Report post Posted December 22, 2013 Is it advisable to create /stopcasting macros for FFB and Ice Lance for when they proc? I noticed on my brothers mage that ice lance and ffb were far more of the damage than fb, so it almost seems like it would make sense to get the proc instant casts off asap rather than waiting for a fb cast to finish. Any input is appreciated.
Oltier 471 Report post Posted December 22, 2013 Nope. Your cast times are almost equal at most times to the GCD, which means even if you interrupt your for example Frostbolt cast, you will still have to wait for the GCD to be ready. Other than that, as a caster you should NEVER interrupt your cast, even if it was a misclicked hardcast Frostfire bolt. The basic rule is: Always cast someting. Akraen 230 Report post Posted December 23, 2013 Only time it is ever worth stopcasting is when you have < 1 sec left on BBoY, Time Warp, or meta gem and you forgot to refresh your LB/NT. If you only have a fraction of a second to respond you can save yourself by getting that clean snapshot. Not worth worrying about for most people.
