Kul Tirans & Zandalari Trolls Coming in Patch 8.1.5

Recommended Posts

yshz1Xs.jpg

Both highly-anticipated Allied Races will be finally available for play in Patch 8.1.5, but the upcoming content update just hit test realms yesterday, so don't expect them go live before February 26.

The official Allied Races page mentions both races coming in Tides of Vengeance, when the story of the Battle of Dazar'alor unfolds, likely in Patch 8.1.5, not 8.1.

Possible Release Date

On February 26, the last wing of Battle of Dazar'alor opens on Raid Finder difficulty, so Blizzard probably wants everyone to experience the story and lore behind the new raid first, before they roll out both Allied Races. March 5 is a hot candidate for patch day, and the races would then become available roughly six months after BfA launch.

Unlock Requirements

Unlock requirements for Kul Tirans and Zandalari Trolls have been up for a while and yesterday, new achievements emerged, along with a new requirement, which is completion of the Tides of Vengeance War Campaign.

Join 8.1.5 PTR to Try Them Out!

Everyone can join the Public Test realm and create Kul Tirans and Zandalari Trolls. If you'd like to preview the upcoming races, you can find more details here.

You can find more info about the new Allied Races in our previous news coverage:

Are you looking forward to playing the new races?

So they lied all the time about req? Earlier it was just rep at Exalted and they were talking that: nothing else will be needed. Jeez, they can't communicate anything properly nowdays. Blizz really downgrades at alot of thing now...

Tides of Vengenace War Campaing is nearly over. You have first 3 parts avaible now and the last part after Battle of Dazalor so its not that big of a deal and makes sense since those quests are preparation and aftermath of BoD

It's frankly BS that a half year have to pass for the races they hyped the most... We better get the darn Horde Vulpera in the next middle patch to alleviate the bad taste this leaves.

Normally I'm very much against the anti-Blizzard stance the community has going on right now... But honestly? I'm very annoyed with these races. The Zandalari were part of the announcement. They were the reason I pre-ordered day 1. And it's been months since the release of the expansion and we're still ages away from them...

No, they did not lie. hey can only communicate so much, to people like you who are unable to understand. What they said was that you do not need to farm reuptation with anything else than the respective faction (Zandalari/Kul Tiras). They NEVER said that the only requirement, in general, is that one.

Waiting to be proven wrong with any official link that shows otherwise ;).

This was supposed to be a fun expansion and the least they could do was throw in these reskins for us to waste our time leveling, pathetic that they cant even deliver that in a timely fashion.

What's that? "But we've paid for the content and reached Exalted with Proudmoore's Admiralty as you told us"? Well sucks to be you - go farm more reputation if you want your wickerbear druid. And more farm means more time. More time - more money on subscription.

Well thanks alot Activision. You're doing one hell of job killing one of the most beloved MMORPGs of all time

I mean, you can cry all you want, and spread fake information all you want, the FACT is, they never said that you need only Exalted with the specific faction. They said that's the only REP requirement, which is true. I havent' considered myself a hardcore WoW player for a long time now, playing just a few hours a day, and that's not even daily, mostly after work if I have a raid with the second group of my guild. Rarely any M+ and WQ for Azerite alone, yet somehow I have Zandalar Forever! achivement for MONTHS now, almost as soon as I dinged 120.

So stop crying and finding excuses for yourself, stop lying about what Blizard actually said, and put in the work, cause you're not entitled to anything.

Or don't, and ignore the KT allied race, it's not mandatory. Or even better, stop playing if you hate it that much.

Oh that's right. It's not like i'm paying for their product and what was promised by them--OH WAIT I DO!

Wow. Are we going EA route right now? "If you do not like BF5 - do not buy it". Yeah because nothing ever backfired thanks to this attitude right?
And considering how BFA is universally hated by players even more than WoD (what an achievment) and millions are already leaving this shipwreck of a game - that's probably not the best advice to be given mate

I agree with the majority here. Allied Races, especially old ones, shouldn't be gated behind irrelevant content, as they could easily generate revenue from VAS for Blizzard and delivering them this late is also not a fortunate decision. So many players, incl. myself, are waiting to race change our Druids into Zandalari Trolls etc and waiting another two months isn't really feasible. Storywise, It would have made more sense to deliver Kul Tirans and Zandalari Trolls first instead of Dark Iron Dwarves and Draenor Orcs. They said Allied Races are released whenever they make sense and there's story around them, but I fail to grasp how Dark Iron Dwarves and Draenor Orcs fit the BfA story.

At least Dark Irons Dwarves are involved in war campaign and somehow fit the whole thing with Azerite. Draenor Orcs are weird due to alternate reality stuff and they seem to mean very little in BFA, if anything at all (also weird brining them in now, instead of during time of Legion invasion). Probably because they were tackled in, as Zandalari were likely intended to originally launch alongside Dark Irons, considering the fact they were both shown together, but then they decided it's better to make them available alongside Kul Tirans.

My guess is they will eventually remove all requirements to unlock allied races. Doesn't make sense to go back to very old content which is going to be one shotted within one expansion.

Or introduce TW dungeons where the necessary reputation can be grinded.

What I would like the most from Blizz is to make Argussian, Suramar etc  zone contents to be available for leveling if not from 101, but from 105.

It is such a cool thing to go to that unique world or grow by completing the suramar quest chain.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
