fordfiesta 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2014 what I was really hoping to find in this thread though was info about anyone trying MM out. I've always played surv, but it seems like MM could be really good now, possibly better than anything else.
Fouton 266 Report post Posted January 21, 2014 Unfortunately this scaled up all 3 specs almost equally. Survival/BM appears to be 30%.more effective ATM. This is just off my memory though

A Hunter I raid with is one such individual. His dps is close to mine and the other hunter we raid with, but it's not easy for him to pull similar numbers as us. I know there are some fights that are not MM friendly at all and on those fights he goes BM. Mm just isn't in a great place right now, and the other two specs are easier and more forgiving when it comes to the priority rotation.

I'll say that MM isn't as raid friendly as BM or SV, but if you can play MM well, you can deal just as much as a similarily geared BM or SV hunter on most fights. I alternate raiding between MM and BM for my raids, and I usually do just as good. Each spec has its moments to shine, and SoO isn't very friendly toward MM. The hunter she is talking about is 11/14H, and loves MM more than the other two, but falls 100k behind them half the time. I'd say MM can't tie an individual of equal skill. If you're speaking from personal experience, I'd estimate the hunters you play with are nowhere near your skill level if you can tie them ;)

Soooo, yeah, my experience with other hunters is generally from lfr......... Big thing for MM (in my eyes) that will affect your dps is arcane shot vs aimed shot as focus dump. There's also the fact that chimera shot is doing the same numbers as aimed shot is, despite chimera only dealing 285% weapon dmg vs aimed doing 420%.....
