Kandrysseda 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) ok so I wanted to see what the general consensus was, I have currently equipped 2 of these: http://www.wowhead.com/item=101887 (of the impatient). fully upgraded these give me 1056 strength and 1044 haste the ones I get from flex (http://www.wowhead.com/item=104873 and http://www.wowhead.com/item=104842 ) fully upgraded give me 30 less strength and significantly less haste. should I use bonus rolls going after the flex pieces or just stick with what I have? my hit and expertise are at or just above their caps Edited January 10, 2014 by Kandrysseda
Fouton 266 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 The main thing to take into account is that there are two red gems which you can insert 80str 160 haste into. Your rings add up to: 2112 strength 2088 haste if you socket both flex rings, when double upgraded, and reforge the crit into hit, assuming you have hit and expertise elsewhere to move around, you can technically turn all that exp/reforged crit into haste. This gives the valued stats of the rings to: 2212 strength (+100) 2772 haste (+684 haste) 430 crit This is assuming you have spare hit and expertise to move around, and none of it will go to waste. Of course not all of it will be used, and therefore they could have similar values in total, but overall the flex rings offer more stats and are better. These differences are very minor though, and I would recommend coining more substantial gains in gear.
Oreoxd 165 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Going to guess http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/nagrand/Kandrysseda/advanced is you, if that is the case, I am going to suggest using the socketed rings for two reasons: 1. With the base expertise increase, you can change some of your exp+haste gems to str+haste gems. 2. You're over the 40% haste cap (which isn't bad) and getting other stats isn't bad. Especially crit, since you have TTT crit comes ahead of haste especially single target, and even more so after 40% haste. Now this is just a personal suggestion to optimize your dps, you can easily stay the way you are and still pull decent numbers. Hope this was at least a little bit helpful. Edit: I wouldn't suggest using the bonus rolls for rings, and I would highly suggest going for normal SoO now if you can, assuming you're pulling decent numbers getting into a pug won't be hard with your ilvl.
